When Rachel Dae is approached by a drunk man and forced against a wall in a dark ally, she fears she made a big mistake going out for air. That is until a dark and sexy stranger saves her. What she doesn’t expect is her whole world to change.
Anthony has been Rachel’s best friend for years. Rachel has had a secret crush on him, but the timing was never right. Imagine her surprise when he breaks up with his girlfriend of 6 years and separates off to raise his daughter on his own. His ex is a handful and a drunk. But he can always count on Rachel to have his back.
Rachel finds herself in a predicament when a strange caller threatens her and those close to her. Either she turn over information on her client and the witnesses or someone gets hurt. Rachel is scared and doesn’t know what to do or who to turn to. But then one evening Anthony is in an accident and Rachel leaves her date to be there for him. But was this an accident? Is this related to the caller? I can tell you this, Ian does not like the fact that Rachel ran straight to Anthony. Tempers begin to heat up and Ian’s jealousy is out of control. Rachel must decide who will have her heart.
Rachel’s life is out of control and she doesn’t know who to trust. Can she keep those close to her safe? Will Rachel chose life or death?
This book is a twisty hot suspense! It will have you on the edge of your seat the entire time. Not only is there hot sexy love triangle, but a lot of danger and suspense that will have you saying oh my!! It is a roller coaster ride of danger and lust. Let me tell you that the ending of this book had such a holy shit moment that your jaw will fall on the floor and you will say damn…..I did not see that coming.
Overall this book is extremely exciting. All the suspense, lust, and twist will make your head spin. A steady paced read that will keep your interest drawn in tight. I did feel the ending is missing a couple things where some of the loose ends remained loose. Maybe there will be a part II. Hmmm…maybe.
This is the second book by Nikki Rose that I have read and I got to say I was not disappointed. She is an excellent writer, who knows how to draw her readers in with, deep and suspenseful reads. Her characters are deep and intriguing. With twist that make the stories exciting and fun to read. I know my heart raced a few times with all the action going on.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys an action packed great suspenseful read full of twists, danger and great characters. You will not be disappointed in this read.

Nikki Rose knows how to keep her readers in suspense. There was angst and a lot of stuff happening that will make you hold on for the bumpy ride.
The heroine of the story, Rachael, well she just cannot get a break. When Ian came into her life, I never felt the chemistry between the character. When Rachael was around her best friend, I got the connection. Ian was a bit lifeless to me and when he and Rachael were together, it just never happened.
So I was rooting for Anthony. I was in waves with this story. There were times I could not understand what was happening and did not have much emotion to it, then when the big reveal happened, I was stuck like glue. At the end of the journey, I was feeling for these characters. They just did not have any luck on their side.
Overall - the story line made sense. It was too much going on for me all at once. Then the ups and downs with connecting to the characters, it was a little disappointing. Many will love this story.

Rachel was at the wrong place at the wrong time when she is rescued by Ian. Throughout their intense chemistry they both fall for each other as they spend time together. The only thing that seems to cause tension in their relationship is Anthony, Rachel’s friend & childhood crush. Anthony is dealing with a recent break up & is mending his distant friendship with Rachel. As a single dad he & his daughter are enjoying having Rachel around, even though Rachel is starting to have fights with Ian. Between her new relationship with Ian & having Anthony back in her life, Rachel is also receiving threatening calls regarding her client. Who will she rely on when her safety is in danger?
This book is full of suspense, mystery, & unexpected twists. With this being the second book I’ve read of Nikki’s, her writing style blends all the events, good and bad, into a page-turner, not wanting to put the book down until you find out what happens next. Looking forward to her next book!

Rachel is in a local club when he goes outside to get some fresh air, and she ends up getting attacked by a drunk man, and she is rescued by dark and sexy Ian. When Rachel’s best friend Anthony finds himself as a newly single dad to his daughter, Rachel leaves to go help him, and Ian’s jealousy get out of control. When Rachel received a mysterious call threatening her and those close to her, and they want her to hand over information in her client and her witness, which leaves her in a quandary. When Anthony is in an accident, and she needs to make a decision. This is a well written tale which had me on tenterhooks throughout this riveting page turner, and this story is filled with suspense, danger, twists, and is an emotional roller coaster throughout. I look forward to reading more from this author whose work I highly recommend for all.

well Nikki did it again and blew me away by this fantastic book . This book will have you sitting on the edge of your seat and afraid to stop reading because you just know something is going to happen. Rachel gets attacked outside a bar and Ian comes to her rescue and they seem to hit it off but her best friend Anthony is going through a divorce and has his daughter with him and it seems like old times hanging out with her best friend again,but Ian wants her for himself but when she's kidnapped its both yo the rescue but Anthony is a marine and has a couple of his teammates helping him but wait for it there is a freaking twist in the story that I didn't see coming. I'm not going to give it away because you absolutely have to freaking read it. I'd give her a 10 stars if I could.

Nothing is better then being rescued by a Knight in shining armor when the bad guys are after you. Racheal was out enjoying a girls night out when she’s attacked and meets Ian. A Prince Charming with accent and a bit of a jealousy problem. When phone calls from a mysterious man start happening Dea writes her fears off to paranoia but is it?
This book has a little bit of everything. Love, friendship, bad choices and blackmail. There are multiple love interest and a few twist and turns you might not expect. Overall though its a darkish love story with a lot of sweet moments to soothe the ragged edges. There are triggers in this book so read with caution.

Nikki Rose does it again! She knows just how to draw a reader in and keep them turning the pages as quickly as they can. She is one of my must read authors and I couldn't wait to read it.
Our heroine in When Dae Breaks is Rachael. She hasn't had it very easy and can never seem to catch a break. I don't leave spoilers in my reviews so I will only say that Ian and Anthony kept me going back and forth with this story and they will probably do the same for you.
I really enjoyed the story, it was a rollercoaster for me filled with emotions and I thought the character development was fantastic.

Rachel is a paralegal just biding her time until she takes the LSATs again and can go back to school to become a lawyer. During a girls night out, she is accosted by one stranger and saved by another. A beautiful relationship begins from there. But Rachel is about to be put into a dangerous situation that she will have to figure out how to climb out of. She will have her friends and family to worry about. Will she be able to overcome the situation? Or will she ultimately fail and loss someone she loves?

Another great read from this author, but you will need to set time aside to read this one because you won’t want to put it down. R achel, a paralegal, soon to be lawyer, is saved by Ian from an attack. She is then emotionally blackmailed regarding her work. Then she reconnects with an old crush and obviously Ian is jealous. Some many plots and subplots are involved with this work and the twists and turns are entertaining until the last final twist! Great read! I received this as an ARC and am voluntarily reviewing it.

What a great read! This book took some twists I wasn't really expecting. Rachel is such a strong independent woman, but when she falls for the wrong man, her life turns upside down. This read had everything a reader wants in a book, kept me turning pages faster then I could read so I could find out what was going to happen

This book was an amazing bombshell! Nikki Rose nailed it with this one! I was on the edge of my seat at every twist and turn! It has all the makings of a blockbuster hit and I would rate this book beyond five stars. I don't want to spill anything on this one except to say this book is a must read and I highly recommend!

Nikki does it again with an amazing story filled with suspenseful goodness! Rachel is a likable character and I love Ian! I was hooked right from the start and you will be too!

This is my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it. This story was full of twist and turns. I really loved the characters. Very good book.

I have just started reading books from this author and found I was absolutely hooked from the very beginning of this book mostly I was on the edge of the seat. I would definitely recommend this book. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
