Not a lot new and some of the coverage is pretty cursory, but likely a good introduction to directing as it accumulates a lot of information in bite sized chunks. The planning charts are particularly good.

A fantastic book. Well laid out and easy to understand.
It covers all the basics one needs for directing a play in chronological order and conveys it in a simple yet informative manner. A great foundation from which to start learning or to remind one of the basics.

Would recommend.
