The Sin File

Rate this book
The price put on the report file was three thousand dollars. Private detective Carl Conner had given Brice Sawyer the first chance to buy it, but there was no possible way that Brice could raise the money.

In a few hours Conner would carry out his threat to sell the six damning reports to someone who could pay for them. This would result in an ugly scandal which could ruin Brice's headstrong young sister-in-law Gail and destroy the happiness of his wife, Elaine. Then Brice discovered that someone had stolen his revolver.

Shortly afterward a killer struck, and Brice was forced into a deadly duel of wits with Lieutenant Lee Barcello from the county prosecutor's office. Fighting to avert suspicion against himself, Brice also had to prevent Barcello from finding evidence against the person who had taken the revolver.

Here, set in a Florida Gulf town, is an absorbing mystery novel about a girl who by falling in love with the wrong man at the wrong time triggered blackmail and murder.
