The (retired) aviator in me grew increasingly sceptical as the plot developed. Another well written story with vivid action scenes so well described (you could tell that the writer has been there!) that you went to sleep hyped up. Another story set against the poor administration of the war in Vietnam by the US government of the day. However, as I finished it my scepticism was replaced by ‘maybe they did’ thoughts. Who will ever know just exactly what the CIA gets up to?

Fast Paced, And High Flying

Loved the idea for the story (and it delivered with flying colors). First off I'd like to say it was a very good read and the characters we're well done. As much as I hate to say it I really don't like women in the story and the messy stuff that goes with all that.
Overall a great book and great in the cockpit moments.

A little more romantic than expected.

I found the flying sequences well written and informative as well as exciting. The pace of the book keeps you turning pages and the action is enthralling. A good read.

Three Navy & Marine pilots are recruited by the CIA to wreak
havoc over North Viet Nam utilizing a stolen MIG 17. Interesting
story but weakly written.
