short review for busy readers:
If you know the Geronimo Stilton series, you'll know what kind of an adventure to expect here, plus a lot of pages of games, recipes and other fun things for kids to try are included.
in detail:
Geronimo slips and bumps his head after having a heavy meal and dreams he's being summoned to Fantasy Land to rescue the Queen of the Fairies who has been kidnapped by the witch, Striga.
As is typical with the Stilton series, the values of friendship and being an upstanding, chivalrous individual are constantly highlighted.
But the stereotypical character depictions, conservative gender roles, racial homogeny, insta-love and weddings and the "woman in danger as catalyst for a (mostly) male adventure" might cause the adult reader to shake their head.
Due to the long and varied activities section, kids will get a lot more out of this book than just a read or two. That bumps up the rating to 3 from an average 2.5.

"The Amazing Voyage" is about Geronimo's third visit to the kingdom of fantasy. In this story, Geronimo bangs his head on the sink and faints. He wakes up and finds the dragon of rainbows liking him with Scribblehopper telling him that the queen of faries, Blossom, was kidnapped by Cackle, the queen of witches. Now the kingdom of fantasy is under a big snow storm. Now, Geronimo aboards Horizen, the talking ship with Strongheart, a giant with a strong heart; the king of the elfs, Thunderhorn; the princess of the silver dragons, Sterling, who is very coragiouse; and mischief Puss in Boots, with the real name, Gray. All of the creatures aboard to save a queen from danger. From the ship, Geronimo finds one of the Rings of Light. It was the only way to defeat Cackle. Cackle was finally defeated and Cackle's half brother, Grim, betrayed her and turned into a fairy. Then, they were trying to stop the volcano from erupting. There, they find Beatrice Bigfoot who was captured by the trolls. There, Strongheart fell in love with Beatrice and was going to marry Strongheart. That wasn't the only marridge. Grim and Blossom and a lizard named Boils. So, Geronimo travels back to Mouse Island where he is going to make his adventure into a book. This action packed novel includes jokes, pictures, and plays with words. Mr. Stilton had created a masterpiece about Geronimo's third adventure to the kingdom of fantasy. I give this book 5 stars!

The book “Kingdom of fantasy: The amazing voyage”. It’s about Geronimo goes to the kingdom of the gnomes. They have a big meeting for talking about how to save queen blossom. Geronimo goes to save queen Blossom on Horizon: the talking ship. They go with the company. They anchor in the land of nightmares. Then each minute someone of the company leaves because of fear or they get stuck. Then it’s just Geronimo. He climbs volcano of nightmares. He climbs to the top. He sits in a king’s chair but it’s actually a chair elevator. There’s queen Blossom but she’s trapped. Geronimo tries to open it but it’s so heavy. Then Geronimo hears something. Then he hides behind a coullum. Then there are stone warriors then there is a king that’s named King Grim. Then queen Cackle arrives. Then she’s mad at King Grim then she duels with King Grim. Cackle wins then Geronimo comes out from hiding then Geronimo duels! Geronimo wins then the company comes back! Then they try to stop the smoke they find a way there then they find a person named Beatrice. She was chained! Then Strongheart broke her chains then she wants to be with the company! They let her be part of the company. Then they stop the smoke then they went back to the kingdom of the gnomes. Then they have a triple wedding! Everybody was cheering! Then Geronimo went home with his dragon rainbow and told his plumber about his story. Then…

"Detail? What detail?" he muttered. "I'm very good with details..."
I hated to insult the king's intelligence, but what could I do?
"We can't run off to save the queen because we don't know where she is," I explained.
PROCRASTINATION LEVEL: ONE DOES NOT SIMPLY WALK INTO THE LAND OF NIGHTMARES
Third time's the charm, or so they say. Shout out to my friend Ryan for letting me peek at his copy before I resolved I would get my own, hence creating my first ever book fund! And what a voyage indeed -- or is it another case of slightly off-kilter mistitling? Let's see, shall we:
NEW MOUSE CITY
1. Geronimo throws a pizza party for his family and friends in celebration of the first day of spring. This is the most non-chaotic start to a Kingdom of Fantasy book yet!
2. I was wrong
3. Geronimo violently concusses himself right after cutting his paw open on a cup shard and all but passes out in the middle of his wet bathroom floor; are we sure this isn't his life flashing before his eyes?
THE GREAT ASSEMBLY
4. BLOSSOM HAS BEEN KIDNAPPED BY CACKLE!
5. THE WHOLE OF THE KINGDOM OF FANTASY IS COVERED IN DEEP SNOW!
6. Whatever lol Geronimo is Snow White now
7. But I love the gnomes so this is a huge plus. Every illustration featuring these lovely creatures at work is like drugs to me. We have the queen reading AND that gnome chorus!!!! The little line of gnome ladies who stitched together Geronimo's outfit!!!!
9. Strongheart finally gets a face and a snazzy outfit. Yasssss
10. Everyone say thank you Queen Blossom for making a personal compass that literally tracks only her all the time. She may be a MacGuffin but at least she's a prepared MacGuffin.
11. Of course it pointed to the Land of Nightmares
12. King Factual gives the journey team their name this time and calls them "The Fantasy Company." Still can't beat "Order of the Fairy Queen" but already EONS better than "The Heart-Finders Club".
13. The oil paintings of everyone who joins the Fantasy Company went so hard for absolutely no reason and are my favourite artworks from this instalment. Good God! The amount of effort and artistry!
THE AMAZING VOYAGE
14. This is a new thought but I'm pretty sure that this instalment's journey had to be made by sea because it's probably against dragon labour laws to make them carry giants. Just saying.
15. Horizon's blue-and-silver colour scheme is a total feast for the eyes.
16. GERONIMO FINALLY GETS SOME ARMOUR!!!! SIR GERONIMO OF STILTON CANON AT LAST!!!!!
17. Also he essentially gets a lightsaber ring
18. A lightsaber ring that only works if he goes into what's described as essentially a meditative trance
19. He also has to learn how to tame a dragon
20. Anything for more Dragon of the Rainbow
THE LAND OF NIGHTMARES
21. Is the King of Nightmares, aka Cackle's half-brother, the previous King of Dreams? And if he is, Cackle's lore just got a lot more interesting
22. The reason Grim wears the rock mask is that Cackle tricked him. idk man it sounds like Cackle just really cares about mask protocol
23. Halfway in and The Fantasy Company already has more camaraderie than ten Heart-Finders Clubs
24. Horizon can't go on because she is a boat :(
25. Strongheart can't go on because he's hurt :((
26. Gray can't go on because he can't swim and Strongheart isn't here to lift him across :(((
27. Sterling can't go on because someone needs to make sure the evil serpent doesn't pose a threat :((((
28. Thunderhorn can't go on because he keeps getting stuck in thorny branches :(((((
29. That one surprisingly hurt because Geronimo desperately tries everything he can to keep Thunderhorn by his side, but eventually fails.
30. Sir Geronimo of Stilton, Only Sane Mouse. Emphasis on Only
31. Geronimo reading Scribblehopper's terrible poem for courage is actually really sweet
32. PROCEEDS TO CLIMB A WHOLE ACTIVE VOLCANO ALONE
33. Sometimes I think we give him way less credit than he deserves for regularly facing all his fears
34. Wow yes I'm sure that distinct lone stone throne isn't a secret elevator at all
VOLCANO OF NIGHTMARES
35. I need Geronimo's ability to somehow obtain detailed maps of every place he so much as breathes in
36. The Pit of Sighs actually really impressed and frightened me as a child. It's drawn as this conical oubliette -- as in no room to even sit or stand comfortably because the bottom of it is pointed. Even if Blossom were keeping herself upright by flying somewhere in the middle, she'd supposedly eventually run out of strength/energy. It's horrifying but also a genius design, incorporating the venue of the volcano so well, too.
37. Geronimo tries to lift the heavy grate but is unable to and Blossom orders him to hide because footsteps are approaching
38. The footsteps belong to these absolute units of stone soldiers
39. Ok we get it, Grim is Darth Vader
40. Imagine being converted from Evil to Good after hearing one (1) fairy song and seeing one (1) fairy dance
41. Actually that *could* be me
42. EVIL DRIES YOU UP GOODNESS MAKES YOU HAPPY!!!!!!
43. I love that the centrefold of Cackle admiring her evil forces approaching the Volcano parallels the one of Geronimo looking out at all the good forces approaching the Kingdom of the Gnomes.
44. GRIM AND CACKLE HAVE A FULL-ON LIGHTSABER FIGHT!
45. How are they activating their Only-For-Peace-and-Through-Meditation Rings of Light though
46. There should be a failsafe on that thing where it doesn't work if you're using it for very obvious non-peaceful reasons
47. So if an evil being gets struck with the sword from a Ring of Light, they turn good. Can I get one to bring to my next family reunion?
48. Cackle kidnaps Blossom AGAIN. Geronimo gives chase but not before healing the now-fairy Grim.
49. DRAGON FIGHT! DRAGON FIGHT!
50. We're gonna have to assume Blossom is just slumped unconscious but deathly steady behind Cackle's arse the whole time on the back of the flying Black Dragon lmao
51. Geronimo applies the dragon tricks he's learnt and hits the Black Dragon square in the chest with his Ring of Light
52. GERONIMO AND CACKLE HAVE A LIGHTSABER FIGHT
53. THERE'S SOMETHING I'VE JUST REALISED. Geronimo explicitly HIT CACKLE WITH HIS SWORD OF LIGHT. Why is she still evil in the next book then?? GERONIMO EXPLAIN!!!!
54. Geronimo all but passes out on the flight back. Now reunited with The Fantasy Company with Blossom safely in their hands, they now have to snuff out the smog that's clouding the entire land.
THE SMOKE-SPITTING VOLCANO
55. The smoke-spitting is caused by a troll-enslaved female giant.
56. Strongheart gets his moment by breaking her chain, putting out the fire she's been forced to fan, and single-handedly defeating the retaliating trolls
58. The female giant's name is Beatrice and Strongheart immediately falls in love with her
59. Nothing says love better than a bouquet of flowering trees
60. It's *Gray* who grabs the giant crown Strongheart offers Beatrice and plunks it upon her head. How strong is this cat omg

64. Oh yeah one thing I forgot to mention: Cackle offers to make Geronimo a famouse movie star in exchange for him giving up. The gnomes promise to have Beatrice looking like a movie star in no time when they prepare her for her wedding. This implies the presence of a film industry in the Kingdom of Fantasy. A FILM INDUSTRY. Is nothing sacred?

69. Something I realised recently from my overall reread: how does Petunia not know of Geronimo's crush on her since he's been, y'know, LITERALLY CONFESSING IN EVERY BOOK THAT FEATURES HER?
70. Geronimo makes his plumber cry by telling him of last night's amazing voyage
71. This is the first instance of Geronimo simply ending the book by saying he decided to write the book we're reading now, which means he too also realised it's just weird (AND pompous) to state that the said book is a bestseller in the book itself lol. Good on you, G!
72. Finally, it's not a Kingdom of Fantasy book without an in-depth atlas of every place that's mentioned in the story. I sure ain't complaining though!
A MIDSUMMER AN EARLY-SPRING NIGHT'S DREAM: A RETROSPECTIVE
Actually, this WAS an amazing voyage. They sailed far away; had to sail back, and so much happened in between. I'm satisfied with that. Now onto the story itself.
This was darker and more mature as compared to the previous two instalments for sure: majority of the story is set in a dangerous place, members of the Company are taken out one by one by obstacles in the terrain, Blossom is physically held captive, there are several fight scenes and then a whole triple wedding at the end. And what a good choice because I *love* high stakes. It achieves this and the teaching of its lessons in a less-in-your-face way while still being super engaging and even more focused. The Fantasy Company don't explore any other place other than where they have to be, but that's totally fine because they are on a tight rescue mission. Sure, not everyone gets to contribute to the story in a hugely significant way (LOOKING AT YOU, GRAY), but the way this group interacted, fought, made peace with and supported each other is great to see after whatever that was among the Heart-Finders Club.
Basically, this is a vast improvement from the lacklustre The Quest for Paradise: The Return to the Kingdom of Fantasy. And yet it feels reductive to say that. Is this instalment only so good because I'm comparing it to that; does it hold up on its own? Does it beat the very first book? Would I have enjoyed it this much if I'd started with this one? The answer to all those is probably no. Although, I am on the fence about the second one. This is by all means a solid adventure, on par with the one from the first book, or even better in some ways too. But mostly I think Geronimo is aware his readership is growing up with these books, so he's gotta make the books grow up a bit too. And that I appreciate.

The Fantasy Company don't explore any other place other than where they have to be, but that's totally fine because they are on a tight rescue mission. Sure, not everyone gets to contribute to the story in a hugely significant way (LOOKING AT YOU, GRAY), but the way this group interacted, fought, made peace with and supported each other is great to see after whatever that was among the Heart-Finders Club.
Basically, this is a vast improvement from the lacklustre The Quest for Paradise: The Return to the Kingdom of Fantasy. And yet it feels reductive to say that. Is this instalment only so good because I'm comparing it to that; does it hold up on its own? Does it beat the very first book? Would I have enjoyed it this much if I'd started with this one? The answer to all those is probably no. Although, I am on the fence about the second one. This is by all means a solid adventure, on par with the one from the first book, or even better in some ways too. But mostly I think Geronimo is aware his readership is growing up with these books, so he's gotta make the books grow up a bit too. And that I appreciate.

June 4, 2021I give it 3 stars ⭐because the characters in the book were very interesting, there were so many characters that on some occasions they spoke very little about some, so I would like them to talk more about those characters that did not have so many details.
The book is about a mouse called Geronimo, one day it was night and he went to the bathroom and his friend the Rainbow Dragon appeared and took him to the land of Queen Blossom, which had a problem because they had kidnapped Queen Blossom and called Geronimo so that he could help them. Geronimo fights hard to save the queen and besides all the adventures he had, he also met many people.
After a long journey and some obstacles that he had managed to save the Queen and received a great prize, then he returned home and realized that during all the time he was in that magical land, in reality not even 5 minutes had passed. after he left.
This book is related to my Hero's Journey because it talks about adventures, that we must not give up, that we must always be brave and we must always give second chances, also that we must always fight for the good.
This book changed me because, before reading this book, I thought it was very childish but when I started to read it, I realized that it is the opposite. Maybe it can have many images and be very colorful but that does not matter. Thanks to this book, I realized that I should not judge a book just by looking at its cover, I must read and analyze it to know how to comment on it.
I would recommend it to somewhat small children and perhaps also to children my age, because it talks about the adventures that Geronimo (the main character) has and the truth is that everything he tells is very interesting, just like his characters, the places in the story and its plot, which I really liked.

De Fantasia serie is een echte aanrader voor alle kleine kinderen. De schrijfstijl, de interactieve pagina`s en het superavontuurlijke verhaal vormen samen een superders ring voor kinderen. De boeken zijn dik, maar je komt er zo doorheen. Doordat het verhaal en de hele combinatie van alle net benoemde factoren zon aantrekkingskracht vormen kan je niet stoppen met lezen en ben je er zo doorheen.

I like this book because it is an amazing book. It is an amazing book because this book is about Geronimo Stilton and his amazing voyage to The Kingdom Of Fantasy. I also like this book because it is a fantasy book. I know this is a fantasy book because in the book it states, My name is Geronimo Stilton, I run The Rodent's Gazette, the most famous newspaper on Mouse Island. (page 2). I also know this book is a fantasy book because in the book it states, His real name is Gray, but he is also called Puss In Boots, The Talking Cat, the Not-So- Itty-Bitty Kitty, Murderer of Mice, and Mr.Tinkles.(page 88).
The person who would like this book is (my friend) Christopher Martinez. I say that he would like this book is because he likes to read fantasy and Geronimo Stilton books. Another reason he would like this book is because he likes to read short novel books. The last reason he would likes to read this book is because he likes to read about mouse'es. I like it because Geronimo defeated Queen Cackle of the Witches. I also enjoyed when Queen Cackle turned her half-brother, Grimm the Grouch of the Nightmares, into a fairy. I liked when Boiles the Chameleon got married to another chameleon and Blossom, the fantasy queen, got married to Grimm who is now called George. I also liked when Beatrice Bigfoot married Strongheart the Giant. I didn't like the chapter "Dragon Duel" because the black dragon and the dragon of the rainbow fought. I also didn't like when Geronimo had to travel to the Volcano of Nightmares all by himself. I would not want to do that. I loved looking at all of the maps. Everyone should read this.

This book is really good is really good and i read it because it was hard cover and the only hard cover of Geronimo Stiltons collections.This book my friend showed to me.the best bit of the book was the last chapter for and i the chapter i didn't like the first chapter because it didn't really tell me more about what was gonna happened.but over all i love everything else it was an amazing book and made me want to read more of Geronimo Stilton books and buy them! the quote that i like in this book was all of them, it was to hard to pick one so i pick all :D

Geronimo Stilton has 6 different people on his group a dragon, girl, mouse, deer, giant, and girl. When they start walking, they are in the island of volcano.The giant leaves because he's to slow. After, they had to swim to the other side of the island. So the cat left because he doesn't like water. I liked it because they had a lot of details. I recommended this book to the 2nd graders.

A really fun adventure book. I like the different creatures integrated. It made the book more captivating. I really enjoyed the way all the characters cooperated and worked together to win. Indeed, this book demonstrated many important value that should be considered such as teamwork, family, friendship...A really fun and powerful moralistic novel.

I really liked this book because it is so imaginative and creative. It has a lot of drawings, so it is easier to understand. It also has many pages that are to better understand the characters and that seems great to me because that way you know more about them, the book and what is happening and it will not be so difficult to understand what is happening with the characters.
Something that I did not like about this book is that it is a bit crazy and it is something that logically does not exist and could never exist and personally I prefer the most realistic stories.
Another thing that I liked about the book is that during reading, the letters have the shape or color related to the word and that is something I like, because it makes me understand it better and at the same time inspires me to continue reading, because it is very entertaining.

Un subidón de calidad con respecto a la saga en cuanto a trama, desarrollo, ilustraciones y personajes. Estos tienen mucho carisma e ideales y objetivos claros. También me gusta la inyección de lore que le han metido al Reino de la Fantasía, con páginas enteras hablando de los personajes, su trasfondo y sus reinos. Especial mención a la traducción de Manuel Manzano que yo creo que se lo debe haber pasado pipa traduciendo todos los libros.
No obstante, hay 2 cuestiones negativas que se notan mucho:
1- Los olores no son buenos. Con los libros anteriores me apuesto un brazo que he pasado horas de mi vida oliéndolos. Los tufos eran increíbles y los perfumes eran una obra digna de Grenouile. En este libro son todos similares, como pasados por una compactadora de esencias. Huelen a químico, son plasticosos, planos, baratos y fortísimos. No me apetece volver a oler ninguno, ni las cebollas del gigante ni las rosquillas de Setina. Son como un puñetazo en las fosas nasales.
2- La giganta es un tema chungo.
Es una REINA que ha sido secuestrada, esclavizada y maltratada hasta la extenuación. No sólo no hacen referencia a su pasado como reina ni a su reino, sino que sus interacciones se resumen en "no me pegues", "soy fea", "me caso con un gigante", "necesito ser guapa" y "os he hecho una pizza".
No, no y no. Esto es profundamente misógino. Entiendo que sea el interés amoroso de otro personaje, pero este personaje es un despropósito.

I love these "The Kingdom Of Fantasy" books! They are so cute, funny, sweet, adventurous, and entertaining. They have positive thoughts in them, and the second book had recipes (the cheese cake recipe was fabumouse!)! These books are great!

Geronimo Stilton è di nuovo in partenza per una nuova avventura nel Regno della Fantasia, tra bussole fatate, voli acrobatici sui draghi, anelli di luce, gnomi, elfi e navi parlanti! Per salvare Floridiana (la regina delle fate) e riportare la primavera nel Regno della Fantasia, Geronimo attraversa il pauroso Regno degli Incubi, spegnendo il vulcano Sputafumo e sconfiggendo la perfida Stria in un duello mozzafiato a dorso di drago! Phenomenal book! Geronimo Stilton finds himself in the Kingdom of Fantasy once again, when smoke from a volcano causes eternal winter, and Blossom, queen of the fairies, has been kidnapped. With the help of his friends, Geronimo finds Blossom and frees her, with a little help from Grim, who fell in love with her, and changed his name to George when he married her. I recommend this book to anyone who liked the first two.
