A brand new treasure of stories about dog friends and what we can learn from them. Stories are short and easily read. Favorites of mine were: "That Stinks"; "Ruff"; "The Neighborhood Dog"; "The Sleep Ninja"; "A Dog's Guide to Divorce."

A charming collection of dog stories that are easy to read a few at a time before bed or in the morning with coffee. Some of my favorites included: The Neighborhood Dog, Dog of the Many Beds, Parvo Pup,Lucy and the Green Ball, and The Gold Outing.

I just got my copy of Chicken Soup for the Soul book, Lessons Learned from my Dog and I can’t put it down. Each story is better than the next! I was honored to be a contributor to this book even more so after reading all the stories from other dog owners. It’s not only full of heartwarming stories but lots of laughs, too. I highly recommend reading this latest Chicken Soup for the Soul book to anyone. You wouldn’t have to own a dog to enjoy it.

Just looking at the cover, I knew I had to read this book. I love stories about animals, (especially dogs).
This Chicken Soup for the Soul book is 100 stories in a variety of categories, including, Be ready for adventure, Find your inner strength and Sometimes you just have to laugh (my favorite) There are 11 chapters that make up this book.
There are stories that made me laugh, ones that made me smile and of course, ones that made me tear up a bit.
It was nice, because each story didn't take long to read, so when I could read 1 or 2 when I had a couple minutes throughout the day.

Cute cover is best part

My least favorite of CfTS books about dogs. Many are lists rather than stries. Lists of whyy put bills are good....why the author loved an ugly dog who wasn't friendly etc. The last group of stories were about putting dog's down. If this is the best "stories" turned in.....the publisher need to give up.

I loved this book however the last chapter about saying goodbye was very hard to read. I had to read only one story at a time and even then steel myself for what I was about to read. I am an emotional wreck reading about saying goodbye to your pet. It's the worst feeling to say goodbye but it's the only bad day you and your pet will ever have. They only have love to give.

This book in the Chicken Soup series is arguably the best of the dog stories. It has heartwarming stories, some of which also have some important life lessons. These stories have not only made me smile, but indeed think about my life and remind me what is (and isn't) important. I love these books.
