Embroidery: The Ideal Guide to Stitching, Whatever Your Level of Expertise is a beautifully approachable resource for anyone interested in embroidery, whether picking up a needle for the first time or looking to refresh and expand existing skills. I really appreciated how welcoming the book feels without making the techniques seem overly complicated.
The explanations are clear and practical, making it easier to understand different stitches and build confidence with each project. There is also plenty of inspiration for experimenting with texture, patterns, and decorative details, which makes the book useful beyond simply learning the basics.
What I enjoyed most is the way it encourages creativity. Embroidery can be wonderfully relaxing, and this guide makes the process feel accessible and enjoyable rather than intimidating. The variety of techniques gives readers plenty of opportunities to practice while developing their own style.
Overall, this is a lovely addition to any embroidery enthusiast's collection. It offers useful guidance, creative inspiration, and an inviting introduction to the craft. Whether you are completely new to stitching or already have experience with a needle and thread, this book provides plenty of ideas to explore. A well-organized and inspiring five-star guide for embroidery lovers.

This book was exactly what I was looking for. It is short, simple, and filled with colored pictures of different stitches. It is the perfect beginner embroidery book. It provided just a bit of history, enough to make this craft feel weighty and connected. All the stitches are named, so if you need to go look up more information on YouTube, you know what you’re looking for. It talks about what kinds of stitches are used for what and what types of threads work with what fabrics. There are easy stitches and ones that are more complicated.
