This is a beautiful story of Myra. The plot is set in Arizona, USA. I loved how the author tried to portray the modern culture. The way she showed the culture from Myra’s Perspective. The plot of the story is simple and interesting with lots of twists and turns. The narration of the story is crisp. I loved the narration style of the author. The way she described Myra’s character, is something I loved the most. With each chapter, the story becomes more interesting and the puzzle starts solving.

The language used by the author is simple and engaging. One can easily connect with the book. The writing style of the author is pleasant. The characters that the author made had their own importance, be it Myra’s character or Myra’s Friends. I loved Myra’s character- brave and courageous, full of fun and Love. There are various themes like Love, friendship, suspense that one will witness.

The pace of the story is slow, the flow of the story is smooth. Loved how the author shared details of each and every character, scenes. It’s a story worth reading. Last but not the least, I loved the cover of the book and the blurb.

It’s a light, easy and simple read with strong characters and an amazing plot.

Book Name: Myra
Author Name: Kalgee Shah
Format: Kindle
No of Pages: 322
Publisher: Notion Press (1st Ed. 23/4/2018)
Blurb: The blurb portion of the book is written in a compact way highlighting the base of the plot. It can make the reader curious enough to opt for this book. So, I found this good and apt I can say.
Cover: The front cover of the book is not only extremely romantic and ecstatic, but it depicts an exact scene from the book as well. It goes well with the content of the book. It is a much appreciable work by the cover designer indeed.
Title: The title of the book is ‘in and as’ pattern. Let me say that the title is good and catchy of course, and as it is justifying the protagonist of the book and the story as well, hence I consider this appropriate.
Language & narration: The language of the book is lucid & simple enough to comprehend for any kind of reader (yet ornamented with classy words in between). There light touch of humor in conversations made the reading full of enjoyment and the first person descriptive and authoritative narrating style made this book a pleasurable & cherishing read. The events have been elaborated with the most detail possible, and I think that, keeping the genre of the story, it was needed to connect with the reader through this way. So, fact pace narration can be considered as one of the strengths of the book. Non English words or sentences (i.e- Hindi songs lines) & foreign language (French) are there at places. Most importantly, the conversations are easy flowing and that made the scenes able to visualize.
Plot: The plot is solely based on the life of a young girl (I will tell more about her later), various phases of her life and people surrounding her and of course the base plot is about true love & coated with some tricky sub plots based on genuine friendship, inspiration & thrill as well. So the entire story is combo of love, friendship, family, thrill & motivation. With this versatile plot, readers won’t get bored or feel monotonous while reading. So, I can say that it is a well developed story from a well knitted plot.
Setting: The story has been set in Arizona (mostly), London (mentioned), L.A & Hawaii (Partly).
Characterization: Clear characterization is what I think the most positive strength of the book. Not only the protagonist (Myra herself), but the other characters (major or minor) too are portrayed very well and justified to their respective roles till the end. Each one of them are being presented in such a way to readers will be able to connect with them instantly. Let’s have a look at the list of the names of the characters mentioned in the book- Louise aka Lou, Myra Sen aka My, Chris Brian, Shyra Sen aka Shy, Mark Brian aka D, Mr. Jonathan Brian aka John, Mrs. Maryann Brian aka Ryann, Rennie, Shane, Caitlyn Bernard, Neil Oberoi, Josie aka Jo, Colin, Crystal, Edward, Nimnita, Dwayne, Mrs. Harriot, Robert, Amelia, Brady (dog), Dr. Connell, Sunaina, Beth, Kyle, Ashton, Mason, Jacob, Georgiana, Ethan, Rahila, Zoya, Carla, Donna aka Don, Benjamin, Neil & Rose, Nathan- Anna – Emma, Ella- Rachel, Logan- Mia, Ava, Daniel & David, Sophia- Emily- Naomi, Chloe, Jay, Rohit, Sehnaz, Jason, Alex.
Theme: Love, Romance, Friendship, Relationship
Story in a nutshell: The story starts with a captivating prologue where, the protagonist Myra herself is telling the story of her life (in present condition) and soon she started reminiscing where it all began 3 years ago, and we will dive in the mainstream story through the flashback. Of course I’m not gonna reveal the present condition as it will kill the curiosity of the reader, so let’s start with the start of Myra’s journey. Come on in.
Myra Sen, a bold and strikingly beautiful lady with a golden heart, elder daughter of Rennie & Shane. Myra was what we can call a mature (sometimes a little immaturity suits her as well), strong, bold, intellectual, caring, loving personality and a pure soul by heart. She was sure and had firm opinion about everything in her life. She was a 26 years old Woman, a passionate & professional writer – editor in an Internet Marketing Company, surrounded by lovely colleagues, boss, friends & family. She loved to live life on her own terms & conditions; she was fixed in her ambition and she loved to set a trend in any where she steps in. She was a charming princess of her parents and the loveliest Didi of her sister Shyra. She was adorable and everyone loved to love her. Myra had her own views & opinions about love and marriage and relationship, and she never got influenced or manipulated by others, neither, she had the tendency to judge people.
Mark Brian and his family belonged to the closest to My. Mark’s parents actually considered Myra and her family as their own. Mark aka D was the childhood best friend of My and they used to share the strongest bond ever among any friend circle. They were not just the childhood buddies, but they actually belonged to each other only. But they never acknowledged their feelings since the beginning and went with the flow and remained best friends. With time, they parted ways for their higher education and to fulfill their ambition and D left for London. Years later, when D actually returned from London with his ‘girlfriend’ Caitlyn aka Cait, everyone got shocked. Myra was jealous but more than that, she was hurt & tensed by seeing the changed behavior of her best friend D. She realized that something has changed D’s inner self. But D was not ready to open up or confess anything, even with his best friend. His habits and nature turned opposite since his return. Everyone was disturbed and perplexed with that new version of D.
Eventually Neil Oberoi happened to Myra. In Neil’s company, Myra started to feel complete solace and happiness. Neil left no stone unturned to make Myra happy & smile in every way possible. The void place that Mark caused Myra, started to cover up by Neil’s care, concern, love and gestures. Neil made Myra as his top priority and was there for Myra every time.
But for some reason, Mark was being torn apart from inside by seeing them together. He too, was in a condition where, he was unable to express his feelings for Myra, neither able to stay away from her. Mark tried every possible thing to get their old bonding back in track, but Myra was one of a kind. Both of them knew that some threads can never be same after parting. Myra was in a sheer dilemma about her feelings towards Neil & Mark; neither, she accepted Neil’s love the same way, nor she rejected Mark’s efforts ever.
Things were going out of hands with situation; misunderstandings started to occur and that’s when Myra decided to express her love towards Mark and propose him. Everything was going on track properly, and the last moment…Myra got the biggest shock of her life when she heard the announcement of Mark’s engagement with Cait…
What happened after that? Was it the end of everything? Was it the end of the “My_D” bonding? Why that sudden announcement of engagement overnight? Will My be able to get out of the shock in a positive way? What will she do after that with her scattered heart? Will she go back to Neil? What is awaiting Neil’s destiny? Will he ever be able to get Myra’s love? What was the reason behind the changed behaviors of Mark? Was he hiding something? If yes, then what was that?
To know the entire story and to know all yours answers, just grab your copy of the book now and go through it without any delay.
My Verdict: Authoress Kalgee Shah has penned down a beautiful saga of love, life, friendship & relationship and showed us the depth of love through the journey of Myra. The character of Myra contains everything that a Woman should be identified for. Sharp, bold mentality, ability to put front firm opinion, personality, soft heart, outspoken, caring soul that craves to be someone’s priority, brave, obedient, respectful, loving, genuine friend and helping hand for all, and blessed with wordy powers- daughter, sister, friend, employee, colleague, lover- be it any role, she excelled in all. That’s what Myra is. The selfless love, pain, misunderstanding, dilemma, shortcomings, efforts, parent’s concern, innocent fights, fight for love, inspirational approach, never give up mentality, fun filled soul, helplessness, jealousy, insecurity, deep love, passion, burning desire, family bonding, genuine core friendship, understanding each other, trust, faith, support, revenge, anger, mystery, cruelty, loss, tears, happiness & joy, achievement, success, ups & downs- each and every single thing mentioned above is portrayed cleanly inside the story (not only from Myra, but from the others characters too). What are the mentality and the way of thinking of the society about an independent Woman and her marriage, and the feminism, depth and significance of being in a relationship, gay & lesbian community approach, justice to the victims of fate- everything is discussed here in the book as per the storyline. How selfless and soulful love can be and what does the word sacrifice mean is portrayed here aptly. The romantic moments between the couples were breath taking actually. Healing a heart by love and giving comfort without expectations is what touched me in the entire book. I loved reading the book and sure about other romance lovers as well.
Drawbacks: If I keep aside the common ‘F’ words while in conversation at some places, then there is no other drawback in the book that I found worthy to mention.
Recommendation: I would like to recommend this lovely tale of love & friendship to all the romance lovers and love readers out there. Readers, fond of this particular genre can give this book a shot for sure. Thank you.

THE TITLE-
Myra together with its other orthographical version is a feminine with varying meanings. It is related to the Latin, Sanskrit and Slavic words for "wonder", "peace" and "wonderful". The Title is very beautifully circumscribed around the word Myra. The background of an independent woman develops from the title itself. That's because true travel, the kind with no predetermined end, is one of the most selfish endeavours we can possibly undertake-an act in which we focus solely on our own fulfilment, with little regard to those we leave behind. After all, we're the ones venturing out into the big crazy world, filling up journals, growing like weeds. And we have the gall to think they're just sitting at home, soaking in security and stability. It is only when we reopen these wrapped and ribboned boxes, upon our triumphant return home that we discover nothing is the way we had left it before. Although the main plot is about experience of Life, there are various subtle sub plots associated with the same. It's like I get into a roller coaster, and sit there while it goes up and down and upside down and sometimes I get thrown out and I hit my head, but I crawl back in again and the moment I'm back in, it just keeps on going and going again...all of this, so I can find things out and then I write about the things I find out so you can find them out from me. All the bruises, all the wounds, all the bumps on the head, all the scars, just so I can take that and I can write all these things, and sometimes I say "God, I don't want to be in this roller coaster anymore." But when I think about it, if I'm not right here, then where the hell would I be? On the sidewalk? I wasn't born to stand on the sidewalk; I was born to fly around crazy in the sky!
REVIEW OF THE BOOK-
Although not a fairy tale, the plot gives us a different insight to the word “ Fairy Tale”. Imagine this: Instead of waiting in her tower, Rapunzel slices off her long, golden hair with a carving knife, and then uses it to climb down to freedom. Just as she’s about to take the poison apple, Snow White sees the familiar wicked glow in the old lady’s eyes, and slashes the evil queen’s throat with a pair of sewing scissors. Cinderella refuses everything but the glass slippers from her fairy godmother, crushes her stepmother’s windpipe under her heel, and the Prince falls madly in love with the mysterious girl who dons rags and blood-stained slippers.

Imagine this: Persephone goes adventuring with weapons hidden under her dress. Persephone climbs into the gaping chasm. Or, Persephone uses her hands to carve a hole down to hell.
In none of these versions is Persephone’s body violated unless she asks Hades to hold her down with his horse-whips. Not once does she hold out on eating the pomegranate, instead biting into it eagerly and relishing the juice running down her chin, staining it red. In some of the stories, Hades never appears and Persephone rules the underworld with a crown of her own making.
In all of them, it is widely known that the name Persephone means Bringer of Destruction.
Imagine this: Red Riding Hood marches from her grandmother’s house with a bloody wolf pelt.
Medusa rights the wrongs that have been done to her. Eurydice breaks every muscle in her arms climbing out of the land of the dead. Imagine this: Girls are allowed to think dark thoughts, and be dark things. imagine this-Instead of the dragon, it’s the princess with claws and fiery breath
who smashes her way from the confines of her castle and swallows men whole.
The protagonist of the plot, Myra Sen puts forward the view point of the above situations. It’s like as if Thinking about the journey I have been on and why I might be here in this lifetime. I’m here to not repeat patterns. To not live on other people’s terms, but on my own terms. To stop trying to please everyone at the expense of myself. So here I am, to find me, and then I freak out. What? Did I upset you? It’s Scary to take a baby step in that direction. To reveal myself? To not look in the mirror or take an iPhone selfie that will expose the inside? But this is what it takes to be my best. In this lifetime, to bare my naked soul and my scarred skin. You can love me or hate me. Or be somewhere in between. But I am who I am. We all have many scars from just living. From living life, feeling love, hurt, loss, pain. Maybe instead of hiding those scars this time I can turn them into beautiful tattoos of experience on that naked skin.
Relationship is another aspect which carries the plot. When we're incomplete, we're always searching for somebody to complete us. When, after a few years or a few months of a relationship, we find that we're still unfulfilled, we blame our partners and take up with somebody more promising. This can go on and on--series polygamy--until we admit that while a partner can add sweet dimensions to our lives, we, each of us, are responsible for our own fulfilment. Nobody else can provide it for us, and to believe otherwise is to delude ourselves dangerously and to program for eventual failure every relationship we enter. We find Myra in a similar environment. We’re all seeking that special person who is right for us. But if you’ve been through enough relationships, you begin to suspect there’s no right person, just different flavours of wrong. Why is this? Because you yourself are wrong in some way, and you seek out partners who are wrong in some complementary way. But it takes a lot of living to grow fully into your own wrongness. And it isn’t until you finally run up against your deepest demons, your unsolvable problems—the ones that make you truly who you are—that we’re ready to find a lifelong mate. Only then do you finally know what you’re looking for. You’re looking for the wrong person. But not just any wrong person: it's got to be the right wrong person—someone you lovingly gaze upon and think, “This is the problem I want to have.
The Creation of Neil and Mark’s character takes the plot to a new turn. Redefining moments offer us the opportunity to perpetually re-invent ourselves, and as long as we occupy a human body, these opportunities will continue to present themselves. You were born to be you, to unfold the truth of who you are. The same is true for everyone else. Every moment has the potential to be a redefining moment when we utilize the opportunity to look more deeply into the mystery of the true Self and learn how to actualize Its qualities in our daily lives. The goal is to increase our awareness that, irrespective of where we are or what we are doing, there stands before us a door in every present moment that, when consciously opened, invites us to step into a deeper knowing of who we truly are. In other words, every encounter (chance or otherwise), event, or circumstance, be it good or bad, right or wrong, happy or sad, is a portal to a redefining moment and who we will choose to be in that situation. The question to consider is, will we be consciously present enough in the moment to recognize the opening when it occurs and step through the door, or will our mind be too full of distractions?
The final theme which twists the plot is Secret. The knowledge of secrets is a very enticing ship, a very tempting voyage, and one thinks that the highest attainment in life is to find out hidden truths, to seek out what is truth, to know what are all lies; to uncover, to discover and to rediscover, to dig up, to expose, to reveal... But secrets can go on forever, for an eternity! For as vast as the universe is, so are the secrets therein! And one can lose, because of that thought that in the secrets, everything is to be gained! But I can see, that all the knowledge of hidden things, all the knowledge in the universe, is not nearly as valuable and as worthy as the innocence of one's soul. And we are not directed unto good things through our ability to scavenge or to hunt or to decipher or to sail! Or to fly! But we are directed unto good things, through sovereign providence! He is more worthy- the innocent soul who has a simple faith in what he believes in- than the one who has found out all the dark secrets about what the other man has put his faith in! And it is far more profitable for a man to be healthy, to have a long, long life, loved ones that are blessed with these blessings all the same, much love and happiness and safety! It is far more profitable for a man to be able to remain innocent and have love and be healthy and to be able to watch his loved ones in good health and in good love, than for a man to uncover all the secrets of the universe! A single love, a single faith, a single trust, and one hope- these are far, far better things to aspire to have! And this– this is the biggest secret!

But how does secret plays its part? What happens to Mark and Neil or Myra? What is the secret she is trying to hide from them?

The book is set up in Arizona. The protagonist of the book is girl named Myra. She is a write by profession. Story starts with few characters Myra, Mark, Lil, Lou. Just like regular day, Myra did her breakfast and came to work. Lil and Lou cheer her up saying that she is just 30 and she must enjoy her life. And encouraged her to go out with Mark. So she made up her mind and went out with him. That day Mark proposed her. But Myra said to him that she is not the same person she used to be ago. And mark got frustrated and tried to explain him. And story slips in flashbacks. Read further to know what happened three years back.

I liked plot. Easy to read. Simple and easily understandable language. I loved the trip part, the couple of chapters based on L.A. Diaries. I loved the concept on which writer has written the book. I would like to mention few lines of preface here, so it might get idea of the book.

“ The book is written to show people that a girl is not always naïve and stupid. She could be strong, courageous and in love all at once. Love doesn’t always need to make a girl weak and vulnerable. It can make her confident.A girl can be your best friend, and she can be your worst enemy. She is able to make you and she is able to break you too.”

Loved the concept. Good one !!

Book Title: Myra
Author: Kalgee Shah
Format: eBook

Book Title:
The title of the book is the name of the female protagonist in the story, 'Myra'.

Book Cover:
The cover image is of a newly wedded couple with lots of fun and frolic around. It definitely sets up the mood of the reader.

Plot:
Myra, a young and zealous woman, her life's journey through various stages of life with many memorable moments to remember is the crux of the story. Set in Arizona, USA, the author has tried to introduce a new culture and society but with same old taboos about women and pressures women face.

The subplots in the book describe Myra's emotional bonding towards her friends, family and special people in life. Myra is shown as a very strong person with her own set of virtues and her adaptability towards any hard situations. Here, the author has tried to speak out that women are not naive and timid, but brave and strong. The other characters in the book have been given a great amount of scope and especially Neil and Marc and her relationship with them are worth mentioning.

Myra, an explorer of life and a person with a different perspective of life and various events of life is a very applauding attempt as a debut novel.
What I like:
1. Myra's characterisation
2. Exploring attitude
3. Strong relationship goals in life

What I didn't like:
1. At some places found the story a little dragging
2. A regular story with a very new perspective

Characters:
All the characters are plotted well. The female protagonist strong personality is felt throughout the story.

Narration:
Fast paced with ample twists that keep the reader engaging.

Language & Grammar:
Simple language for smooth reading and good grammar are used.

My Final Verdict:
A very good attempt by the debutant author to showcase few double standards of the society through a fantasy story

Book Title: 3/5
Book Cover: 3/5
Plot: 3.5/5
Characters: 3/5
Narration: 3.5/5
Language & Grammar: 3.5/5

Final Rating: 3/5

Myra book

I liked how the book began with a concept on girl's life. The world shows that a girl is stupid. But rather a girl is not always
naïve and stupid. Just because she thinks with her heart does not mean
she doesn’t know what is going on. She should not be perceived as
always forgiving. She could be strong, courageous and in love all at
once.
Love doesn’t always need to make a girl weak and vulnerable. It
could make her confident and help her grow. You need to be
consistent with your girl, or before you know it, you will lose her to
someone else and if that someone is more handsome than you, then
my friend you are in deep trouble. I want to let people know that just
because you are a priority to her now, doesn’t mean you always will
be.
A girl can be your best friend, and she can be your worst enemy.
She is able to make you and she is able to break you too. She may be
more trusting when compared to men, but that does not mean she
cannot be clever. It all depends on her choices.

So lemme begin with the step-by-step analysis of the entire book.
The book has lot of abusive use of language. So I wouldn't recommend this to young readers. Also the book is full of annoying annotical texts. The use of contextual messages or texts like how people do on social media chats irked me off. The entire book basically feels like a contemporary contemplated book full of text messages only. I felt perhaps the first few chapters are like that. However, I was disappointed. Language, narration can be improvised. Also the concept of sequential analysis seems missing. Plot was dodgy, dragging, monotonous.

The book needs a lot of work. Story seems okay enough. But the presentation & way of writing seemed amiss. If these things are taken care of, I'm sure this would be a worthy read!
Even the bollywood reference was hysterically presented. Hitherto, if you're into sophomore clichéd sophisticated romantic style of books. Then you can try this. Though I won't recommend this to all.

REVIEW
The cover is just beautiful to see. It has an image of a Guy putting in the bride's foot in a shoe at stairs, which is quite a romantic gesture on the guy's part. It feels that they are a newly wedded couple. It definitely lifts the romantic expectations of the readers from this novel.

The title of the Novel is based on the main character of the story, "Myra". She is the Female protagonist in the story and the novel is based on her story.

The plot is simple, yet inspiring. The authoress has tried to portray the character of Myra as strong and brave, but as the same time she is a carefree nature girl.

The narration of the novel is first person narration which helped to understand the viewpoint of Myra, her thought process and struggles.
Apart from Myra's character, I liked Neil's character.

The book was a kind of whirlpool of emotions, it has all the elements, be it friendship, love, betrayal etc. The vocabulary can easily be understood as it was simple to understand and the pace of the novel is good.

I expected this novel to be like a Fairy tale considering the Title and the Cover, but the story actually seemed to be more connected with the reality.

The authoress has done some good work with her debut novel. According to me, It is a great one time read.

The title of the book 'Myra' is the same as the protagonist of the book. The plot revolves around an Indian girl named Myra who lives in the United states. She there meets his high school sweetheart Mark whom she nick names 'D'. Everything seems to be going their way for the love birds but every love story has its twists..
After being seperated for five years, mark returns back from London after his graduation to meet Myra but not alone!! Who's the girl? Is she just a classmate or more than that?
What happens to Myra? Are they gonna still be together and love each other just like the old times? Get a copy to find more about
The book is about relentless effort on not giving up on love. It challanges two people who have deep feelings for each other with their journey of life.
Note: The plot unravels mostly in Arizona and LA. At this point I should realy appreciate the author for her excellent work of potraying the life style of an US citizen inspite of being Indian
I personally rate the book 9 on the scale of 10.The division being as follows
Title & cover-2
Plot and love story-4
Unraveling of plot-2
Climax and ending-1
For those of you who are looking to kill time with a good love story then this is the one for you
Cheers..

Book Review: Myra- or should I call her My. What does the name say about the owner?
When I knew that the central character is named Myra I knew that she's going to be what we all aspire to be- happy, funny, bubbly, loving and beautiful in her own way. Guess what I predicted just the right things about her yet I cannot say that this is all the book was about.

This is a story about an Indian origin girl living in Arizona with her family- Shy and adorable sister and equally awesome parents who support her in everything she does. Next door lives another family with two boys who are obviously their friends.
Now, this is where the story starts and where it ends and in between are all the happy times and sad times as well that My goes through. She fights for her love and her friendship equally and not once she acts just passionately leaving all practicality aside.
Myra is the girl that you will find in every other girl today, sometimes out in the open and other times hidden under layers of self-doubt. She is an inspiration and a reality as well. Author has done an awesome job in character building as well as plot building. The writing style was simple as such but inviting enough that I finished the book in one sitting which is 300+ pages.

As the title suggests, this book is totally focussed on an independent, self-driven, bold and audacious girl. In the stories, there are some in-between twist and masala to keep a reader hung on to the book.

Pros:
1. Book is scripted in a very simple and lucid manner
2. The story is bit of different compared to same old College love stories
3. The introduction of any new character or defining of a new scene or building of plot; everything done in a manner to make a reader understand and visualise it in mind
4. The starting of book with a mystery about a dreadful, unfortunate incident 3 years back, then taking the story all the way back to 3 years so as to build the plot for that incident and at the end revealing about it is exemplary

Cons:
1. Bit of more talk related to some character that didn't have much role to play
2. In between few chapters stretched

Myra, is a book about an independent and self-sufficient girl of indian origin who lives in Arizona with her parents and sister. Myra's character is full of life , she's the loving and doting daughter of Mr and Mrs. Sen. She works as a writer and supports her family. Her Family is her priority. Not only daughter but also a dedicated friend as well as a lover. She is full of positive vibes and a dancer too. The character is highly relatable and that's why readers will feel a strong  connection with the plot.

The language is simple and the plot moves at a fine speed. The narrative technique is engaging. The story is full of characters who are close to the protagonist. Although the latter part of the plot is quite dramatic yet the drama and other twists and turns unfurl with the motion.

A classical story which picturizes the positive behaviors of a young woman named Myra. Flury of emotions are clearly described through the eyes of Myra may it be love or friendship or low times as it is written in the first person. The other characters in the book support each other very well. A special mention of Neil's character.

The beautiful cover of the book with a newly married couples images adds to the positives of the book.

The simple yet effective way of narration which makes the reader glued to the book

I particularly loved The bold characterization of Myra as It brings to light how women should be bold and ambitious

Book cover & Title is simple but suits with the book content.

The story revolves around the own kind of girl 'Myra'. It explains, how should be a girl? Courageous, brave, independent, free to choose. It is all about love, friendship, romance, life's ups & downs.

Let us start off with this review by commenting on the pacing of the novel. I found the pacing was average neither fast nor slow.

Narration was simple. I really appreciate the author's work. As a debutante author she done it amazingly.
The language and flow was exquisite.

I would give it 4/5 star.

As the name clearly states that the story is about a girl Myra and the blurb highlights her thoughts and the way she live her life. The story revolves around the protaganist, written in a simple way the plot has many emotions entangled.

The cover is simple yet justify the plot and the story. It shows how to be positive an stay motivated in most of the situations and overcome fears and bad time.

Overall a good read.

This book is penned so beautifully...
The way it has started...
Then the plot...
And the climax all are in proper sequel..
I got little bit confused with the characters name in middle.....
But it's a romance as well as suspense book...

KALGEE SHAH, is a single child of Chetna Shah - a caring homemaker and Dwijen Shah - a government employee with a sense of humor about life. She has spent most of her life in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

Academically she has done her Bachelors in Business Administration, which she now thinks wasn't that great a decision because her first job was with an IT company as an content writer.

Books have been her best friends and she always make sure she takes a friend in her bag wherever she goes. Scribbling is one thing she loves the most, you will always find a piece of paper in her bag, with random ideas on it.

If you see someone on the roadside humming retro Bollywood songs with a sling bag and a book, that's probably her. She loves her family and only few of her friends. Her chats with her mother, and perceiving the wisdom she has received from her has helped her pave the way to become an author.

Her favorite thing to do is to go on family vacations arranged by her father.

And NO SHE ISN'T ANYTHING LIKE MYRA.

REVIEWS

Cover

The book has a beautiful outlining of the cover in a black and white color imprinting where a girl is standing on the stairs in a white pretty dress seem to look like a bride is happy and cheerful while the man in a black suit sitting on his knees is making her wear the footwear. This picture is alluring and prepossessing and displays a lot of emotions and love about the inside story.

Title

MYRA as a title name of the book suggests to be a book about a girl which is damsel or lassie. This gives a brief idea to have a story regarding a girl's life or relocatable to her existence which is unique and awe-inspiring.

Plot

This is a story about a girl and as mentioned in the prologue, it is about so much to ponder your thoughts till you finish reading. Just few lines before I mention more about the book -

"This book Myra to show people that a girl is not always
naïve and stupid. Just because she thinks with her heart does not mean
she doesn’t know what is going on. She should not be perceived as
always forgiving. She could be strong, courageous and in love all at
once."

This posses a strong myth about women that they are weak and fragile, until you finish the book, you will change your mindset definitely because girls are more than your thinking and capabilities of your thoughts.

The story about Myra talks about her belongings with people around her and her experiences with people and places she has lived in and is been living. Her bonding with some people have described brilliantly in the book, Caitlyn and Neil are the characters in the book which the Author tried to portray in a way which is relating to many of our lives. All the entire story in the parts of Church and Temples where various life incidents have happened is narrated well. Apart from this, some issues are talked about feminine which I think, in India is a restricted which they think is a sin.

Reviewer's word

Every part in the book is gripping and elated which makes a reader feel cheerful. While the ending is thoughtful and coming it from an Indian Writing is commendable. There has not been any such negative point and error regarding the book.

Language

Language is simple and easy, no grammatical errors were seen. Fonts and prints are legible.

I must say that this book is different than other books, the story is about a girl, Myra, who is a unique type of girl from different prosperective. She talks, neets, different types of people, explore new things and sees everything from a different angle. She is like free bird. But the question is that if will she able to stay same forever or not!!
Honesty the story is unique, but sometimes if feels a little bit slow, and there are some unnecessary conversations between the characters. But still is okay. Narration is really good.
The language is clear. The title is character based.
The cover is beautiful.

The story revolves around the protagonist Myra, an independent fun loving women, who reunites with her once best friend, Mark. Both the families plan for a tour but the meet between My and Mark wasn’t pleasant as Mark was already committed to his French girlfriend Caitlyn. Meanwhile, Neil develops feelings for My when they accidentally met during the course of the tour. But My’s love for Mark stops her from accepting Neil into her life and only then she realises that Mark was framed into a trap by Caitlyn and her brother and Mark is still in love with Myra. Further the story unveils the answers for if Mark and My were able to reunite?? What was the trap of Caitlyn?? What was the role of Neil in this tricky romantic fiction??.

Review :

This book solely emphasis that women are not just eye candies and immature all the time. It portrays the life story of a free bird, Myra. The story is of how Myra managed to break all the hurdles in her life to win over all her enemies and also to succeed in her personal life.

Though it is romance, the plot is an unusual one but the authoress has made it an enticing read. The characterisation is done with utmost Perfection but at times I was forced to turn back the pages to know who is who as the nickname of characters seemed similar and confusing. The language is lucid and the usage of simple words made it an easy read. The book is scripted in first person narration which helps the readers to live the life of the protagonist. This book has all flavors of love, friendship, emotion, humor, betrayal, thrill, action etc. But at some pages/scenes, the words failed to personify the emotion. The book was weaved as a conversation between characters which make it a dull read. Many chapters were stretched and I literally had to skip 20-30 pages to land up on the story.

The cover and title suits the storyline and it is designed to be like a fairytale. Yes, the story is a tale of a fairy who stood against storm with shoulders straight. The blurb gives a deep insight on the story hidden beneath.

Overall, it’s a good one time read.

Myra by Kalgee Shah.

The book is named after the female protagonist "Myra", which is a good thing because the whole book is about her life and her courage. On the cover we can see the picture of a newly married couple and they have a positive vibe around them. So over all the combination goes good with the content of the book.
It's not the story of only Myra but everyone around her. She is an epitome of happiness and liveliness. Be it family, friends or colleagues she always have enough for everybody. She is the one who can turn any negative situation into a productive lesson. Life was fair for her every time but in case of love her road to success was full of obstacles and heartaches. While all her life she loved Mark, her best friend but Mark even thought after being so close to her was unable to say the truth behind his distinct behaviour after his return from London. On the other hand Neil is ready to lay the world on Myra's feet. What will happen next is the best part about this book.
The language used is good and effective. Narration can be a little more better by describing the important scenes like the one where Neil is being killed more properly. Character buildup is really good. Along with a really good story the author has conveyed a very strong message for all the girls out there that being yourself, being courageous, being independent and respecting every realtionship is what matters the most and for all the boys; standing with the girl you love the most in all her ups and downs is what matters, as other things will come to place on its own.
A highly recommended book, worth reading.

Myra is a cliche, cringe worthy, sappy romantic novel. I don't want to say much about this because I didn't like this book. Not at all worth reading it. I think books in wattpad are better than this.

So no more insights I am just going to rate the book now. I will give 2/5 stars, this is the least I have ever given.

1. Cover:

Beautiful and attractive. When I first saw the cover, I decided I had to read this book. And was so happy when I received a copy to review. I was excited and looking forward to read the book.

2. Title:

Title is good. No comments about it.

3. Plot:

I don't know what exactly the author was trying to convince the readers here. Book was so confusing, poorly written, immature, too many characters, there was nothing to relate.

It was difficult to finish the whole book. Storyline was horrible. Too sappy and cliche.

4. Grammar:

I am no grammar nazi. I was cringing all the time. I mean what is wrong with publishers these days. They will publish anything. Poorly written.

5. Overall:

Definitely not my type. If you like romance, cliche and sap. You might try it. But for me it's was a bad experience. Immature and non-sense is what I describe.

The cover is very interesting. It is attractive one. In cover, there's featured a woman and a man. I like the cover very much.

The title is meaningful. After noticing the title one can easily understand the story is all about a woman whose name is Myra.

The blurb has been written and edited well. It has been focused to the story how it will be going on inside the book. One can easily find a hint there.

Author has used simple language to elaborate the story. It is the best way to make all readers understand the meaning of the story. The story has been edited and narrative. The story revolves with a lady named Myra and how she takes care her life and relationships. Myra is a care free lady.

I have liked the story very much
