Author Biography: Julia and Derek Parker are established leaders in the field of astrology. They combined their skills in 1971 with the publication of The Complete Astrologer, which became a worldwide bestseller. This was followed by more than 40 books, written singly or in collaboration, including the highly successful Parkers' Astrology. The Parkers also broadcast and lecture throughout Europe, Australia, Canada, and the United States.

Eric Francis came to astrology through two very different worlds: A Course in Miracles and ecological investigative journalism. His work has appeared in The Village Voice, Sierra Magazine, The New York Times, The Mountain Astrologer, and other periodicals. He is a personal growth and astrology columnist for America Online.

It was okay. I mostly skimmed it. I read what was relevant to me and what I wanted to know. If you are interested in the history of astrology across the ancient cultures and societies I would check this book out. The first portion of it is all history which I'm not really interested in at this time. Not a bad book I got some new info about my astrological background. This book ends with making your own birth chart so if you're interested in that I would suggest this book but I did find that section a little confusing.

This is a comprehensive book that includes techniques, signs & planets, charts & tables, and absolutely gorgeous photos, drawings and charts in a smaller very convenient size. My instructor sent this to me, and it has proved invaluable in my lessons - I highly recommend it.

I bought this book a long time ago when I started to be interested in the astrology.

This is ok to read for the beginnings in the astrology. The ones who already have basics, do not buy this book. It is narrow minded and exclusive.

The book is written in 2007.

I only give three stars because of nice colorful pages and good quality of book.

You can find online and for free much more in-depth information on astrology.

I keep this book on my bookshelf as nice and colorful.

The images in this book are absolutely breathtaking and a great supplement to the information found within. This is another excellent primer for anyone beginning astrology, especially if you love pictures. The section on the history of astrology is also pretty detailed and interesting.
