Talks about a lot of qualities of God in really simple terms. It’s pretty shallow but I think that’s by design.

As a girl who loves Jesus but has always been intimidated by the word “theology,” I was both excited and nervous to dig into this book. I’d read Jenny Randle’s Courageous Creative, Dream Come True and Getting to Know God’s Voice and found them all so practically helpful and encouragingly inspiring, and I was hoping this book would bring the same easy-to-digest format that has always allowed me to break big concepts and ideas into manageable thoughts and steps. I was privileged to read an advance copy of this book, and WOW. This book did SO. MUCH. MORE.
First of all, it’s graphically driven. For a visual learner like me, it allowed me to better understand previously hard-to-grasp concepts by portraying them in visual form. The charts, graphics and lists of verses helped this girl with no academic theological background dig deeper and understand better. The Promises of God Chart listed in the book and available as a download was an absolute gem and one I have since printed out to read as a daily reminder of the promises of a true and trustworthy God.
Secondly, this book simplified the message of the Gospel without watering down the TRUTH of it. Through 31 quick and easy-to-understand chapters, Randle and Brookshier broke down complicated concepts into simple truths and even provided an “In a Flash” statement at the beginning of every chapter that helped me focus on the meat of each message.
Thirdly, this book transformed my dry, boring preconceptions of theology and brought an awe-inspiring God to life. I found myself excited to sit down and wrestle through the truths of each chapter, and I LOVED the easy-to-follow format with application opportunities at the end. Although I absolutely loved this book as an adult, I kept thinking what an incredible resource it would be to equip a graphically-driven generation of youth.
Cannot wait to spend another month reading through this again — next time, with my teens.

Wow! This book was so good! I really enjoyed how this book challenged me to grow in my relationship with God. It was easy to read and also had great depth to it. I also love the visual elements. Truly a beautiful book!

This is an excellent visual Bible study that makes theology and God available and understandable to the average layperson. It can be used individually, in a group, or even given to people who are new to Christianity. I am very impressed with the efforts of the authors and urge you to take a look.

This is a good read for anyone wanting to know more about the Trinity. Also a great opportunity to learn some new theological vocabulary. It's not too hard to follow and the chapters are broken down into nice bite-size portions. I would recommend for anyone who has not dug too much into scripture themselves, and wants to know more. Hopefully it will leave you inspired to read God's Word!
