5/5 Stars (%89/100)

Not going to lie this was a really good volume. The fight between Code and our heroes continues and finally comes to an end in this book. I'm not going to spoil, of course, but the plot thickens regarding Momoshiki and Boruto's relationship. I'm also really liking Kawaki and still can't believe how he is going to turn evil (supposedly). I also feel like Amado still has soooo many secrets. The ending of the volume was very climactic and made me curious. If they continue like this, they might be able to save this series.

Volume 17: Chapter 64-67
Arc 5: Code's Assault

- Boruto managed to channel Momoshiki's power without being taken over by Momoshiki. Boruto fights with Code. Suddenly, Boruto collapsed.

- Naruto and Shikamaru go to the fight place. Naruto come into Sage Mode.

- Boruto was possessed by Momoshiki. Momoshiki started to fight with Code. Naruto and Shikamaru arrived at the battlefield. Shikamaru being caught by Code. Momoshiki wants to help Code to kill Naruto. He then used Oodama Rasengan on Naruto.

- The attacks being absorbed by Kawaki. Kawaki awakened a new Karma that will act as a weapon. Kawaki vs Momoshiki. He can used Isshiki's abilities; Sukuna Hikona and Daikokuten.

- Boruto regained his consciousness. Boruto and Kawaki already planned something. Kawaki then stabbed Boruto. Boruto dies.

- Kawaki fights Code. Kawaki get the upperhand. Code collapsed and will be blast off by Kawaki. He then pull Daemon using the Claw Marks and reflected Kawaki's attack. Kawaki get blown away and defeated. Code fled off.

- Boruto is still alive. Momoshiki has resuscited Boruto using Karma. The Karma is 82% complete extracted. Another 18% was used to rebuild Boruto's cell and tissue. Momoshiki now cannot resurrect. Boruto now is pure genuine Ohtsutsuki and ready to be fed to Juubi.

Là aussi, c’est too much.

Question légitime.

Volume 17 features probably the most hype and intense moment among all of Boruto thus far with Boruto and his Bro Kawaki enacting a plan they'd described off-panel so long ago. It was so cool to see it happen and watch Naruto and Shikamaru, none the wiser see what happens. Even Shikamaru's reactions after it happened and towards Naruto were interesting. Shikamaru himself has been interesting the entire Boruto saga as in Naruto/Shippuden he was more chill and occasionally gave into anger emotions, but now, he tethers on the most dislikeable and hatable character, even now I felt he was a bit too harsh towards Naruto and Kawaki for what happened. Naruto remains himself even through it all. Still it was a powerful and incredible moment.

I look forward to what happens next. Kishimoto is a genius storyteller.

You know this manga just gets better with every volume as next we have pure action scenes as Momoshiki has arrived once again and its him vs Code and its glorious, the arrival of naruto and how things change, Kawaki having the typical anime power up moment in order to protect what he has to and I love that. Its one of the things that was fore-shadowed earlier but comes to pass nd it pays off so well and kicks the story into 2nd gear and just the fight.. I can actually imagine its anime scene of fight choreography and I love it, amazing stuff and what a middle and an end with revelations that will change the whole series going forward! Like I say every time it gets better!!

This is some pretty hardcore revelation.

"You know what to do, bro."

It was pretty damn shocking. I admit it, I was sucked right in and started tearing up.

Wicked stuff. I really feel the time-skip closing in.

This series has been quite good right from the start. I am liking the new generation of characters, the older characters, the new baddies, the back-and-forth as some characters' motivations remain questionable... but also and especially Naruto forever being Naruto.

Ngl I'm starting to dislike Kawaki alot. He's like the rip-off version of Sasuke and not in a good way at all.
Also a very inconsistent character, and don't even get me started on Naruto... fucking ass loser grow some backbone MY GOD YOU'RE FRUSTRATING ME!

Thouraly enjoyable fight, the whole resurrection happened way to quick for it to mean anything that he died, i think boruto as a story is compensating pace as a format of evolution from Naruto but it doesn't help itself

4/5 a little confusing in what boruto can and can’t control so the power scaling is awkward. But kawaki trying to kill Boruto on his own accord was great tbh. I legit though boruto was dead dead LOL
