One Summer of Love follows Delaney, a single mother, who gets a summer job at Valentine Vineyards working as an enologist with the CFO of the wine company, Nolan. Though he finds her attractive, Nolan has no plans on getting involved with her, especially since she is now his co-worker. He has dated a co-worker before, and that didn't end well for him.
However, as the summer progresses, the attraction and tension between them grow, but they try to keep them at bay. But they can only deny their attraction for so long, especially when family members continue to interfere.
I really enjoyed this story. This love story was like a second chance at love for both Delaney and Nolan. I enjoyed seeing them overcome their reservations and fully allow themselves to consider a relationship. Their chemistry and interactions with each other were great. I also enjoyed their meddling family members, especially Naya. Her banter with Nolan was hilarious and added a lot to the story. I also loved seeing Delaney's daughter, Harper, interact with Nolan. Their first meeting was funny and cute.
4🌟 Snowbound Second Chance was another great story by Reese. This follows Sebastian, Nolan's brother, and Evelisse (Evvy). After a health scare, Sebastian begrudgingly agrees to take time off from his job at Valentine Textiles. He stays at Sweet Magnolia Inn, where he runs into Evvy, a woman he met a year prior. She works at the inn for her sister, who is injured and recovering.
Both Sebastian and Evvy are at a point in their lives where they need to figure out what makes them happy. The careers they have chosen are not fulfilling them as they thought they would, but they don't want to give up on their dreams. They are still as attracted to each other as they were a year ago, and as time progresses during their time at the inn, tension and attraction grow. Then a snowstorm hits, and they are trapped together at Evvy's apartment, which is separate from the inn because of a power outage, where things between them are more heated.
I loved reading about Sebastian and Evvy. They are both wonderful characters. I enjoyed watching their chemistry grow as they spent more time together at the inn, especially during the snowstorm. I loved seeing how they helped each other become more vulnerable and consider what truly made them happy. Evvy helped Sebastian implement methods to help with his anxiety as well as help him get back into something he used to love doing. This was a wonderful second-chance romance.
Please read the trigger warnings before reading.
Thank you to Reese Ryan for providing me with a copy of this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Two great books in one for the VAlentine Vineyards series, and I couldn't have enjoyed both of them more.
IN one summer of love, we have a phenomenal representation of a woman of color excelling in stem, Scientist Delaney with a CFO, Noah Valentine, (who can kinda be a stick in the mud) of a company. We absolutely need more stories of women of color in this field. I loved how the author weaves the story and captivates you right from the very beginning. And as always, the chemistry between these two are outstanding as always.
In Snowbound Second chance, Evvy and Sebastian Valentine met a few years earlier at a wedding, and eventually went their separate ways. Sebastian is forced to return back home when he suffers a health scare that requires him to relax and decides to instead of staying at his family's place, to retire to a local inn, ran by Evvy's sister. When her sister becomes incapacitated after injuring herself, EVvy is tasked with manning the end. Then they find out a treacherous snow storm is coming, and every one is able to leave but the two of them. Determined to prove that they can be near each other, they stay at the end, where feelings arise, more than what they were expecting.
This author can write a romance like no other, with the chemistry between the main characters. It's always explosive and enjoyable. And I also appreciates how she handles mental health in this story. This was such a great book, and shows why this author will always be on my autobuy list.
I received a copy of the book via the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review of my own thoughts and opinions
Snowboard Second Chance was a most enjoyable read. Sebastian Valentine and Evelisse Jamison was a true happily ever after bound they each other and never acted on the attraction and a year later leaving LA and Nashville being snowbound they found their forever.
Both stories were beautifully written so good I had to hold it at the library in order to finish it. So glad I did my second chance to finish. Another family growing and going forward together making love great again!
We meet Delaney earlier in “Savannah’s Secrets.” Delaney is Savannah sister who is married to Blake Abbott. Delaney has beauty and brains she is a scientist and mother to her daughter Harper. Nolan is the nerdy CFO of the Valentine Vineyards. Laney is in between jobs and she applies for a job at the Valentine Vineyards and lands the position. Nolan isn’t too happy with Laney getting the job. From the onset of the two meeting Nolan is feeling some kind of way. He very much attracted to Laney and he is fighting hard and he is so losing the battle where attraction, love and chemistry are playing major roles. Nolan and Laney end up staying next to each other in a townhouse community. Neither were the wiser of their housing arrangements until Laney comes to the conclusion that Savannah was the mastermind behind the arrangements. Savannah and Nolan’s family are working to bring Laney and Nolan together and it so obvious and hilarious. These two are such a cute couple. I so love when Laney and Nolan are somewhat forced to work in the same office. But as the powers that be fate takes control and the two are perfectly matched.
Snowbound And Second Chance
I am so enjoying the extended family of the Bourbon Brothers. This is the 3rd book in the “Valentine Vineyards Series.” The Bourbon Brothers and Valentines are cousin and are both in the same business. Reese Ryan is doing an awesome job with the Abbotts and Valentines. For those of you who might not remember Evelisse is the sister of Kayleigh and she is married to Parker who we meant in Engaging The Enemy. Evvy was having a hard time dealing with her family life and the events that transpired. Evvy found a home in California she wanted to be an A-list actress but it not pan out she is/was working for someone that does appreciate her until she turns in her resignation has as his assistant more of a gopher. When Kayleigh takes a fall she is in need of help. She calls Evvy to help to run the inn. Evvy is reluctant but she knows that her sister needs her and she is there to help. Sebastian stayed behind to run the textile business that his father sold. Sebastian is so trying to continue to make the textile business a success that he suffers somewhat of a health scare and is force to take a leave from the company. Sebastian and Evvy share a pass that neither forgot about. Sebastian gets a suite at the inn that Evvy is working at for Kayleigh. The two seem to be getting along rather well. A snow storm is approaching and the two are somewhat forced to stay together in Kayleigh’s old apartment across from the inn as there is no power at the but there is a back up generator at the apartment. These two are so cute together as they are both finding out more and more about each other. Evvy is finally coming to term with her family life and Sebastian is making a major decision in his life that concerns the textile job and the Valentine Vineyards. As decisions are made both Evvy and Sebastian come to the conclusion that they are meant to be together. Can’t wait for the next book in this series to come out whether it’s Alonzo or the twins; I’m sure I will be in for a treat.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily posting a review. All opinions are my own. One Summer of Love & Snowbound Second Chance are the second and third in Reese Ryan’s Valentine Vineyards Harlequin Desire series, available together in a bind-up edition (as well as individual ebooks). Reese Ryan once again delivers fun family dynamics and steamy romance, this time twice over. One Summer of Love follows single mom Laney and CFO Nolan, who find themselves working together at his family’s company. I really enjoyed the family dynamics, with their other family members meddling, trying to get them together, even if they resist at first, and Laney in particular isn’t even sure she’s staying beyond the summer. Once they do give in, their romance is cute, and I liked watching them overcome their reservations about each other and a long-term relationship to find a way to be together. Snowbound Second Chance is also sweet, in that it highlights a developing relationship between two people who didn’t actually get together the first time around. Evvy and Sebastian are both at a crossroads in their respective lives, with her reevaluating her options after a life in the spotlight and him navigating his options as the CEO of Valentine Vineyards. I liked the emphasis on still figuring yourself out and what you want when you’re older, and meant to be more “settled.” Both of these stories are a great balance of sweet and steamy, and hit all the right notes that a romance should. I’d recommend them to readers of category romance and/or diverse contemporary romance.
In One Summer of Love - Laney (Delaney) Carlisle and Nolan Valentine are forced to work together and share an office as Nolan works hard to help his father establish the Valentine name in the wine-making business. Laney offers them her expertise as a specialist for a short summer experiment, but as she spends more time with Nolan they can’t avoid the attraction brewing between them.
The barriers to their romance are the temporary nature of the contact, they have both been burned by love in the past, and Laney’s daughter, Harpers desire to stay in Seattle with her newly found bio daddy.
There is a happy for now ending, with the hope and promise of a future wedding.
Snowbound Second Chance - Evelisse (Evvy, Evvy) Jemison and Sebastian (Bas, Bastia) Valentine, the Valentine son who is the CEO of the former Valentine Textiles run into each other after a year it’s at Evvy’s sisters Inn, the Sweet Magnolia Inn. As they spend time together, they expand on the. Acquaintance they made a year previously.
Then Snowpocalypse hits their small town stranding Sebastian at the inn with Evvy: they’re forced to spend the time in her room which is attached to but separate from the Inn because of a power outage and generator failure.
And guess what, it’s one of my favorite tropes, one-bed…. snowstorm, hidden attractions are totally revealed.
It’s a beautiful second chance romance with mature characters who are beyond gameplay, but have to follow their own path back to each other and their happy ending.
This is Nolan and Laney's story his the uptight closed off nerd and CFO of the family's Valentine Vineyard but when the family decides to hire Laney Carlisle an enologist spark fly and Nolan is smitten. Laney is a single mom with an eight-year-old daughter. Both suffer from past hurts by former exes, but the meddling of the sisters just can't keep these two from denying their feelings. The best part was Nolan and Laney deciding to take a chance on love again knowing they deserve love to after past painful heartbreaks. The HEA was awesome. In Snowbound Second Chance a health scare forces workaholic Sebastian Valentine to take a three-month sabbatical and reevaluate his life. While on this sabbatical he decides to travel back home to Magnolia Lake where he comes back in contact with Evvy Jemison a woman, he shares a past with and can't forget. Evvy trying to put her ex and the past be hide her decides to take her sister up on her offer to run the country inn while her sister recuperates. Evvy and Bas become requited with each other doing a snowstorm. Realizing this is a second chance at love Bas and Evvy decide to take this opportunity and commit to one another and start their life in Magnolia Lake. I love second chances at love and Reese Ryan did not disappoint. I received an ARC via the author, and I am leaving my review voluntarily.
Nolan was sprung from his first meeting with Laney, and it was adorable. His family clocked it from the very beginning while he tried his hardest to deny his feelings. Despite prior relationship woes Laney and Nolan came together in such a sweet way and I enjoyed their journey so much. A lil forced proximity never hurt either
I received an ARC of this story, All thoughts are my own

Loved Snowbound Second Chance
Evvy & Sebastian’s story was a delight from beginning to end. Their finding love and genuine happiness together will always be a winner for me. During their journey they both have some self-realization to do regarding their careers, and figuring out which path to take. We also have two well-meaning families that don’t mind meddling in the MC’s lives.
One Summer of Love was awesome. It was just what I needed. It was sweet, sexy with bit of steam and a whole lot of love. I loved Nolan and Delaney. They were the perfect complement to each other. I love their journey and watching them fall for each other. This was such a heartwarming story, quick and easy to read. I loved it and definitely recommend.
Snowbound Second Chance - 4 Stars
Snowbound Second Chance was good. It was a little more emotionally charged which I loved. It was a bit steamy. It was sexy. It was sweet. I loved that it focused on changing course at an age where you're expected to already be settled and established. I loved watching the characters navigate these changes while also falling for each other. I enjoyed and definitely recommend it.
