A figure skater who is used to being second-rate is actually one of a pair who might be able to save the world from demons.

I was not impressed with this. The art was powerful, but too often it was so blunt and covered with so many sound effects that I couldn't tell what was going on. There were too many shots of the half-naked figure skater for me as well. Some of the dialogue was painfully cheesy: "Is my musical surge truly enough to awaken the powers within her?!" made me flinch. I won't be continuing the series.

I would say that the story is interesting but it does take a long while to get a good idea of the background to the current events in it. The art is nice, dirty at times and clean in others, a mixed bag. The action scenes can be extremely chaotic in determining exactly what's going on so that was a big knock off on my rating. I am definitely curious enough to see how it ends so I will read the second volume.

so let me see if I understand what's going on... a skater and a pianist are reluctant partners, who's raison d'etre is to stop the birth of a demon that will end the world.

sounds like any buddy-buddy cop movie/tv show ever made mixed with the Exorcist.

all of which I'm completely cool with.

Alright, a two volume series. While it isn't my favorite series, I've read much worse series that shoved everything into two volumes. I wish the series was a little longer though.
