A despised prince. A failed witch. Can two damaged souls combine to make a whole? Or will their friction set the world on fire?

Senri has lived with guilt for almost a century. Shunned for being half-blood and blamed for his father’s death, he is granted one hundred years to find aid in winning the elvish war holding his people captive. With his time nearly up and little sign of hope, he’s thrilled when a lonely girl with the power to sway the tide of battle stumbles into the fairy forest.

Imogen worries she will amount to nothing. Given the potential to be the most powerful sorceress in a millennium, the antisocial orphan is humiliated when she can’t figure out how to use her powers. So when her vicious classmates chase her into the woods, she agrees in desperation to a strange boy’s supernatural help.

As Senri struggles to guide his new friend in mastering her sorcery, his growing feelings for the unscrupulous girl threaten to destroy all his plans. And as Imogen vows to deliver justice to her tormentors, she’s torn between her increasing love for Senri and allowing her budding powers to unleash an uncontrollable evil.

Ringed By Silver is the first book in the intriguing My Lady Palladium YA romantic dark fantasy series. If you like fascinating characters, moral complexity, and page-turning tension, then you’ll love Becky Puff’s compelling tale.

I’ll start by saying this was a fun idea and story. Then I’ll add that it needed more editing and more work before being released. It was fast paced but almost too fast and needed to slow down. I felt the story flying back and couldn’t seem to catch up.

Senri, the half-demon prince, needs Imogen’s, the sorceress in training, help to save his people. But he must lie to her in order for her to help him. He is also trapped in a glen in the middle of an ever-changing woods with a unicorn. Imogen attends an all-girl’s school and is bullied everyday if not threatened.

Becky Puff created an interesting story but the relationships between characters was left undeveloped and childish. Their conversations either jumped too fast or left out details that made it seem childish. The editing phase needed to be done again as I found far too many edits that I found extremely distracting while reading.

Overall, I enjoyed the story itself but it needed a few more drafts before it was released.

Dark YA Fantasy.

Senri is a half blood Demon prince who is sent by an Oracle to live in the Fairy forest for 100 years. Here Senri will find the answer on how to save his people.

Erasmus is a unicorn who lives in the clearing within the Fairy forest. He befriends Senri and helps guide him on his journey.

Imogen is an orphaned human Witch who struggles to access her magic. While in the school for magic, she is an outcast and constantly bullied. Warned against ever entering the Fairy Forest Imogen is taunted by bullies into the forest.

Imogen and Senri develop a wonderful friendship where they play, learn and grow together.
Is imogen the answer to Senris people’s survival.

I thoroughly enjoyed Ringed by Silver. I am looking forward to reading book 2 and seeing where the story continues.

Reading this was such a fantastic whirlwind, there was an unexpected twist at every turn and i especially loved the way the author made you really feel for the FMC Imogen as she was bullied and taunted. I felt so many emotions reading this book but especially anger and sadness towards the incessant bulling and the way no grown ups tried to help stop it. Senri was very different from most MCS but I found I really connected to him as a character and loved the way he was written. The storyline all together was amazing and I’m so sad it left us on such a cliffhanger but I would definitely recommend reading this book. I read it in less than two days because I just couldn’t put it down until I knew what would happen next!

Becky Puff, I'm so glad you let this story out😉

What a wonderful story! This is a new-to-me author and I might be feeling a little smug right now about finding her. I read her explanation about classifying this story as YA. I typically hate YA as a genre and stay far away. I understand why she chose that descriptor but for my fellow YA haters, do not worry. The story reads as a fairy tale. Its ageless and timeless and written beautifully. The cadence of the writing is perfection, as is the editing. For fantasy lovers, this author will more than satisfy. Her writing is way above the genre average. I think this author might be special. I'm going to look for more.

Amazing book, real page turner. Loved this book from the first page, I really connected with the characters and didn't want the book to end. There are many plot twists that I loved and didn't see coming. I adored watching the characters grow and learning about their struggles. I was captivated from the first page to the very last one. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a non spicy Fantasy. I really loved this book and can't wait to read the next in the series!

Such a good book! I enjoyed every little surprise this book showed. It was easy to keep reading, has both perspectives of the two main characters, and it ends on a what happens next, so your ready for book 2!

This was a fun story for bookclub. We die hard loved this cover and the story was a really nice dark ya. It had good flow and wasn't over descriptive like a lot of indie stories.

This book is nostalgic while being fresh. It has a similar style/vibes/is reminiscent of Inkheart while still being distinctly unique. It’s herione is refreshing in how she is multilayered, dark—it’s almost near her being an antihero, but her characterization is done without dehumanizing her, which is so rare with female characters.
