Gemma Scotts never imagined the letter she sent to Santa nine years ago would amount to anything. Let alone deliver her exactly what she asked for... Sort of? All I Want For Christmas is A Glitter Orc, is a fantasy monster x human romance novella. It is deliciously explicit, sweet, and magical, just in time for the holiday.
This is a cute story for what it is: Orc smut. Orcs are always paired with bakers for some reason, maybe because they are large and like to eat? Glitter orcs apparently have psychedelic properties in their dicks, so licking it will make you high, which is convenient because their junk is the size of a large forearm so it’s better to take the edge off when it’s rearranging your organs. The steam in this one was moderate. There are some triggers, which I didn’t get, why include SA of a minor in a 58 page book? Seems unnecessary and I don’t get why authors go there in these light hearted reads. Don’t look too closely at the eyes on the book cover, I think they stole my soul. But this was better than most weird Christmas erotic short stories. 🧌
This would’ve been a cute, really awesome story if it hadn’t been ruined by two things:
1. Public sex. The hero literally takes the heroines virginity in front of the entire clan. It’s not romantic or intimate or sexy. To put her on display at her most vulnerable and to expose something so intimate is to degrade it, its no longer just about the MCs, but now their bonding is public consumption where everyone gets an eyeful. Just gross.
2. The hero was raped as a child and impregnated a woman. He has a son. Who doesn’t seem to live with him. What in the actual fuck?!? This storyline made no sense inserted into the story and it was completely unnecessary and ugly.
Not safe due to voyeurism and SA of a minor. Hero also seems to be a manwhore. Virgin heroine, belongs only to her hero. No sharing or cheating saved this from being a complete shitshow. HEA with epilogue
I got my Orc cherry popped with this little number right here and I couldn’t be happier! This was the perfect cozy, sweet, lovable caveman style possessiveness I didn’t know I needed.
Kor and his “Tiny” were adorable together, I loved the found family kind of dynamic that went on here and these two deserve all the love in the world. They each have their own traumas so seeing them find solace in one another was beautiful.
There’s knots, virgin FMC, voyeurism/exhibitionism, size difference, tall FMC and the wonderful breeding trope.
And did I mention it’s only 59 pages!? Go read it!!
This just hit the spot. I’m currently on a alien/scfi binge at the moment so this got released at the right time. It was short and sweet. This is a Christmas book without been too over the top Christmassy which is my preference. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a short and sweet book to help hit your reading goal! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶🌶.5 Novella Christmas vibes Orc X human Knotting Size difference
Okay read for tame orc novella. Seconding Kristina’s review that in a book so short there were more serious things thrown into the characterization that didn’t add anything significant to a cozy, silly story. Need more info about the psychedelic skin. Read for the vibes. It’s a short ride until like Kor lol.
TLDR: sparkly orc cinnamon roll whisks off FMC and rocks her world
—————— BELOW IS THE TRANSCRIPT OF THE RECAP AS SEEN ON UNFORTUNATE READS. SPOILERS AHEAD ⚓️ ——————
First off all, the dedication:
To the merry monster fuckers, this one’s for you.
Sweet Gemma is in the big city, having moved away from her hateful small town. She’s working at a bakery and already hates it just 3 weeks in.
On Christmas Eve, a letter is dropped on her stoop. It’s a letter she wrote to Santa when she was young, asking him for a Glitter Orc friend.
Apparently she saw a young male one by the river and thought “mean things can’t be shiny”, though her family told her otherwise.
Anyway, she sees the letter has a response from Santaa (not a misspelling) that says “Your wish will be granted tomorrow.”
Confused, she goes to sleep only to awaken Christmas morning with a giant shiny orc man in her room.
Kor the GLIMMER Orc has come to claim his bride. Obviously she’s like excuse you? And he explains that 9 years prior she asked The Wizard Orc Santaa for the blessing of an orc companion.
I guess Santaa delivered.
Kor tells her that he’s had a state of the art kitchen built just for her to bake in, and all the glimmer orcs are excited to meet her, and that he will give her babies, and shes like you know what this life sucks anyway so yeah as long as I can bring my cat banana I’m down.
This book is like 85% smut so here are some highlights:
- Gemma is a Virginia - Kor is very generous - Instalove - Good girl - The skin of Kor’s eggplant is basically low dose LSD and a few licks will make her hörny and a relaxed but too many and she think she can hear colors. - Orcs like to mate in public - Huge Breeding kink - He’s got a giant knot
Also we find out the young orc Gemma saw was actually Kor’s son but since Gemma was a kid he had to wait a few years to claim her.
Next I’d really like to see a book about this Wizard Orc Santaa. Do you think he’s like, extra shiny? Read at your own risk!

This year I have definitely been obsessed with Orcs and this short book did not disappoint. I feel like I say that all the time but it’s true.
It was short, sweet, a little spicy, and just so wholesome. The way Kor cares for Gemma since the very beginning was soooo sweet. He was gentle and caring and made sure she had everything she needed to be comfortable in his homeland with his family of Orcs. Let’s not forget the way Gemma took in this new place and these new people so easily and didn’t fear them like most people would made me so happy.
I know most Orc books they’re portrayed as big and scary and while I do enjoy those books, I very much liked this gentle Orc as well. It’s nice to have a mix of both kinds when it comes to monster romance books I enjoy reading
This was such a cute short story. Kor a glitter orc, “this is the skin of a killer Gemma”, kidding anyways…. Claims his bride after she writes a letter to Santaa not Santa. An orc wizard. Gemma, a human, lives alone with her cat Banana (yes every detail is super cute in this book). Kor give her a massive kitchen for her ba king (baking) since that’s what she loves to do. This was seriously so cute. I’m dead. Loved this. Every detail, sweet spice, virgin FMC and a freaking cat named banana. Dead.
I really like this book. It’s cute, cozy, and spicy. I wish there was more of it because I love the relationship in the book. It was a nice book to have for Christmas. Cute and sweet. Kor and Gemma were so sweet and the whole premise was su goo. Of course it was well written and full of spice. Exactly what you’d expect from a K.L. Mann book. Go read it! And enjoy it! Truly an amazing Christmas gift!
Cute story with a silly background. Poor Gemma was saved from an awful life by her glitter orc and adjusted really quickly. I was confused about the world she lived in. Was it just glitter orcs that were unknown to humans? Or all types? Their tragic backstories complemented each other and they got their HEA.
Spice: 4/5
Triggers: rape of child (off page), child neglect (off page), home invasion, grief
This was the cutest, most sweet, wholesome little holiday novella I got my hands on. I loved it from start to finish. What can I say? It's short, it's sweet, it's smutty, it's got a breeding smink, it's got glimmering orcs and a community that loves Gemma, it's great. The whole thing is great. Just, get yourself a Christmas gift and read this one.
I completely loved everything about this! Super cozy and spicy! Honestly I wish there was more but I guess that defeats the purpose of novellas. The mmc was amazing and I loved him so much, and I have to say I would have done the exact same if I was in Gemma’s shoes. I can only hope that one day an Orc man will show up in my room and want to take me off with him so I can bake and have babies…..
This was an ok read, i think if it was longer i would have enjoyed it more. I think for me novellas just need to be spice or story, i think its too much to do both in such a short period and this one for me tried to do both. I liked Gemma growing in confidence but i would have liked to see that and not just read about it because it seemed like i came out of nowhere. Kor was very cute and i loved how he looked after Gemma from the get go. The things that were mentioned around him having a child felt like they were just thrown in there and then stepped over. It was a cute read altogether but i would just have liked a bit more. I loved KL Manns other books so i will continue to get through the rest!
The Christmas, off brand version of Ice Planet Barbarians 😂
Was it ridiculous? Absolutely. Did I enjoy reading every second of it? Of course!
I do have some questions - who is Santaa?? Why does he/she know so much about humans? How was Kor picked to be her husband? Are orcs fantasy or an accepted part of life in this world? I feel like this book needs a sequel to answer some of these questions! Maybe there is one out there and I just need to find it!
I genuinely loved this. I absolutely adore the "himbo monster who will do anything for his mate even if he doesn't understand" and that's exactly what I got. Kor is an iconic character and the spice was perfect. I would love a sequel or more holidays with Glitter Orcs
So excited to read this spicy little novella, and I was not disappointed. 🫠
It’s a perfect read for the holiday season; or just all seasons if you’re looking for something spicy and cute. I mean, his nickname for her is “my tiny”…. I just…. everytime it was said it warmed my heart and when gemma’s only question when approached by an orc she’s just met then proceeded to tell her they’re going back to his home and the only question out of her lips is “Can Banana come too?” I couldn’t relate to her more. My only complaint is I wish it was longer; and though I know it’s a novella, K.L Mann writes amazing characters that I want to learn more about each of them.

I didn’t really know what to expect when going into this book, but “All I Want for Christmas is a Glitter Orc” is such a cute and surprisingly wholesome little holiday read that’s the perfect sweet treat that left me feeling all warm and fuzzy, while also bringing a touch a spice to top off a lovely quick read!
I love all things orcs — and Kor was just such a gentle giant of a cinnamonroll that I want to protect him at all cost! And match that with some found family vibes and it’s about as comforting as a hot chocolate and marshmallows on a snowy winter day!
The spice is steamy but not too overly explicit, and matches PERFECTLY with the sweetness of the rest of the novella. It has everything; knotting, newly mated lust/love and excessive amounts of orc-nog…oh, and some good ‘ole exhibitionism just to make it even better!
I will mention that there IS pregnancy (and mentions of birth) in this book, though it is focused heavily towards the last quarter of the book and it isn’t really heavy on description. But, if that isn’t your thing, you COULD read the majority of the book and enjoy it without the trope at the end — but I WILL say that it’s actually really cute and worth a read even if the pregnancy trope might not be your thing.
This book is very light and easy and doesn’t have any heavy triggers. There are a few vague mentions of some potentially triggering themes that I will list below, but not enough to be of weighted concern. The author does have their own list and content warning section at the beginning of the book as well.

⚔️TRIGGER LIST⚔️
— Explicit sex scenes — Virgin & inexperienced FMC — Light psychedelic/drug effects from licking skin — Mentions of underage sexual assault resulting in a child (MMC) — Mentions of Childhood trauma (FMC) — Pregnancy & birth (not descriptive)

“All I Want for Christmas is a Glitter Orc” is a cozy, wholesome and slightly steamy novella filled with all the orc goodness (and they GLITTER too!), soft and tender love, a kitten named ‘Banana’, found family, funny banter and festive vibes. I would recommend this book for anyone, especially those who just want a light read to sit down in front of the fire and enjoy with a cup of cocoa and a cozy blanket. 5/5 stars!
I think my IQ dropped. FMC is 18 and doesn't know that 'c0ck' is another name for peen. This girl is straight up kidnapped by a sparkly orc to be his wife, bake his tribe snacks, and pop out babies. Ew. Hard pass. Dude drugs her with his magic jizz and then they bone, despite her being a virgin, no prep, and the dude has a monster dong and a knot.
I regret all of my choices that lede to this point.
Unlike some other reviewers, I knew what I was getting into here and wasnt turned away by the CW's (which the author was gracious enough the include), but I just didn't enjoy it very much 🤷♀️. The story felt disjointed, and there wasn't any firm sense of who the characters were. Also, the tropes included we just thrown in haphazardly without any set-up, so they just didn't hit for me.
Started this one at Christmas and got a little stuck, although it's a short read. But ended up in a situation where I had to wait around a long time and I finished it up. It was actually pretty wholesome. Not as spicy and weird as I was expecting (not sure what that says about my reading habits), but pretty good.
I guess this is an interesting tale about "be careful what you wish for" because Santaa might fulfill your request in an unexpected way 20 years from now.
