Rose trusts Abby, and so she has no reason to want to leave. Rather, she has to contend to her reason of not wanting to stay. Continue to read the Living on a Farm series if you have grown to love them, as this is only the beginning of the last half!
The intent behind this book was genuine, and I appreciate that. It was a little hard to follow, however. The formatting was off, and part of the book may be missing. The illustrations were also relatively crude. Perhaps a child illustrated it, but it didn't indicate that. A pass through an editor would help a lot. Good luck with the series! Keep going!
This was a great kids' book with an engaging storyline for the age group. The best thing about the book is the cute illustrations, which I presume have been hand drawn by children. I feel this makes the book original and makes it stand out. The story is based around farm animals, which most children like.
If this series reflects a metaphor for how humans should live their lives, it definitely took me some reading to come to that conclusion. I am beginning to warm to Rose the Chicken which is a good thing.
The illustrations are rough and seem unfinished. The story teaches about friendship and social skills which are always good. This could be the beginning of a good book.
I really don’t know that to post on this review, the book is bad, the illustrations seem to be done by a 5 years old kid. The narrative doesn’t make sense in some parts. The author really needs to re-do this book.
