My deranged brother started a war he couldn’t possibly win. Almost ran the Jackals into the ground. Framed my mate for my father’s murder. A slight that won’t go unpunished.
Without the protection of his demons, his dark players, Danny’s vulnerable. We’ll take back what he stole and finish what he started. Erase the Wolves from existence. Then we’re coming for his mysterious friend.
Because I belong with the Jackals. Belong to them. And nothing will ever threaten that.
Broken Mates is book 4 in the Jackals' Wrath MC series featuring a stubborn yet strong heroine and four badass, haunted bikers with a guaranteed and rewarding HEA. If you love shifters, fated mates, Egyptian mythology, this is the series for you! This book contains dark elements with trigger warnings, suitable for 18+ readers. There is no bullying from the men to the heroine who treat their woman like a goddess.
The war between the Jackals and the Wolves continues. With her brother continuing to wreck havoc, Aaliyah can’t catch a break. Not to mention all the mistrust flying around between her and her mates.
This book is one rollercoaster ride of emotion and I’m rooting for Aaliyah, Slade, Castor, Zethan, and Alaric. It’s a hot, steamy, dramatic mess and I can’t wait for the next one.
Aaliyah and her men can't catch a break, and I can't wait for them to have their well deserved HEA.
The war that Danny started is still going, and it will take a lot from Alaliyah and her mates to stop it, and put everything back where it belongs... except the Wolves—they will be destroyed. But if that is not enough, they are still dealing with the police and relationship problems, as it seems like her mates don't know what communication means. I'm so looking forward for the next book to be out.
Her brother has taken one step too far and now she is on the warpath. She will stop him one way or another especially now he is at his weakest. How will she get on? Will she defeat him at long last? Beware of a sister scorned
This was another emotional read, with ups and downs - and communication issues! - that had me on the edge of my seat ;) There were so many twists, drama, and steamy scenes that it was a complete page turner. I will fess up to reading well past my bedtime with this installment ;) However, their story isn't finished with this book and we're still on the hook trying to find out who the archenemy is. I cannot wait for the next book!
And the emotional trauma continues in Broken Mates, the fourth book in Jackals' Wrath MC series. This series is just one big emotional roller coaster that has me asking what else can possibly happen to one MC? What else do I have to endure?
I feel bad for Aaliyah, she grew up in an MC who didn't recognize her worth, and even her own father who she loved didn't cherish her as he should have. She ran away from everything and now finds herself back in the life, sure things are different, but are they really? Aaliyah is trying really hard with the guys and with the MC, trying to find her place. She goes through a lot in this book and starts to take some introspective and I wonder what she will realize. She's kind, caring, and has a big heart. She's also strong, feisty, and rebellious but in some ways maybe too soft for the MC life.
Honestly, things have always been hard Aaliyah and the guys. In the beginning, her mistrust of them because she suspected them of her dad's murder. Their mistrust of her because of who she was and her lies. Things started to get better and then crap hit the fan again. Aaliyah is always trying with one or more of the guys. Sure they have chemistry and they show her affection and things with Zethan and Castor (Dark Daddy) are going great, the banter and playful moments, and trust are everything. However, things with Alaric are bad and things with Slade start to feel strained. Two steps forward, five steps back, the same thing could be said about club business too.
Gods, it's a mess. Andra keeps me hooked because I never know what's gonna happen next. The MC has been dealing with attacks left and right, both taking hits and giving them, it really gets the adrenaline pumping. Of course, I love the mythology and the new magic that is introduced but this book was mostly about trauma (this book was dark af, Danny is sick) and relationship drama. Things are strained pulling on all the emotions and bonds are being tested. It doesn't look so good, especially when the past comes back to haunt them and some hard truths are learned.
I'm an emotional wreck over this series and Broken Mates just added fuel to the fire. Things aren't looking good for the MC and things aren't looking so good in the harem either. Everything is falling apart and an unknown enemy is nipping at their heels. The only question that really matters is what's gonna happen next, I guess I'll find out in Sinful Mates.
Broken Mates is the fourth book in the Jackal's Wrath MC series and boy is there drama everywhere you look. One of Aaliyah's mates doesn't trust her because of what he went through. He thinks deep down inside that she set him up, when she did no such thing. But he's determined to prove she's bad for him and bad for the club. Aaliyah's brother is still running free and planning more chaos. The danger is real, and it only keeps adding up. Can they mend the pieces or will everything fall apart and the MC be destroyed for good? Broken Mates is engaging, but it has elements in this book that will have you raising your eyebrows because it just doesn't all mesh. I get it, these characters are human first, and avatar second, but the storyline still needs to make sense throughout. I'm literally despairing at Alaric's behavior. I understand his pain, but he's really allowing his "demons" too much play in his head. I just feel that he's not trying hard enough to push them back and instead is creeping closer and closer to embracing them fully and doing something that he will surely regret. The author brings in a twist into Aaliyah's life, and while it brings a new element of drama to the storyline it also raises questions. Why now? Why is Aaliyah making this decision, this choice...now? When things are most dangerous you have to question...is she that selfish in her actions? Would she really do something that goes against her own avatar's true nature? This element threatens to derail the story in certain aspects and causes more than a little confusion. I don't like it. Aaliyah is selfish in certain aspects, but this goes a bit beyond the pale for her. If she's always so worried about her men, shouldn't this blow her concern out of the water and make her rethink things? I've enjoyed this story/series, but I think that it's time to start wrapping things up, because now it's just feeling drawn out. I'm ready for closure with these characters and hopefully it will come in the next book. I'm rating this book 4 out of 5 stars.
Angst, Anger and Adversaries! Be warned evil Skyler is back and she brings with her all the turmoil in another great book in this series!! Aaliyah and her men really get out through the ringer in this book 😬 There’s issues between the men as well as between Aaliyah and her me. It’s heartbreaking to see the affect of the trust issues between her and Alaric - you question whether they can actually overcome the rift Danny and the PTSD creates! then there’s Slade who is pushing his luck in overstepping his role as her president when she should first and foremost be his mate; then there’s trying to break down the curse still between her and Zethan 😔 Love the connection between her and Zethan they made sure they built a solid foundation of friendship to build upon and boy are they testing the bounds of their curse in some hot scenes and taking their relationship to the next level with the help of Castor 😜 I love that Dark Daddy and Zethan band together and support Aaliyah when she needs it most despite being under the most difficult of circumstances and Zethan in particular is at risk of loosing it all! He really is her hero 😍 Slade is all over the place ok Theo’s one and placed on some real rough situations with decisions to make that will either jeopardise his position and the club or his relationship with Aaliyah! With the cops putting even more pressure on them trying to bring the club down, little movement in the uncovering of the identity of the dark one and Danny Heller who just won’t die and has an awful act up his sleeve - can these avatars pull through it without destroying their friendships and relationships?! Need the next one now 😅
This was better than the last one, I’m glad Aaliyah isn’t moaning as much in this one about if she will leave or not.
There are lots of communication issues between all of the mates and her. Poor Alaric is suffering more than ever and believes once again, that she is a spy/mole sent to tear up the Jackals. I actually feel sorry for Slade, he is trying to do his best by the club and his mate(s) but he keeps getting pulled in every direction. I understand why he has to put things to a vote but god he can make the damn calls if he wants to. Zethan has become my favourite in the harem. Ok he puts the club in danger but it’s understandable. He has gone above and beyond and finally we see him and Aaliyah come together (including Castor which I loved and I hope we get more scenes like that). I felt Castor was missing a lot in this book and it was overshadowed by the other harem members. Maybe we will see him more in the next book.
By reason for removing a star was due to editing errors, e.g. repeated sentences, incorrect words/letters missing from words, continuity etc. it’s been a theme in these books and I feel like the author needs a new editor.
Also…. WE STILL DON’T KNOW WHO THIS MYSTERIOUS DARK ONE AVATAR IS and it’s been 3 goddamn books since the first mention of him, I’m getting bored now not knowing who it is.
Still 2 books to go and only the avatar mystery is left so unless there is a new enemy coming then I can see some of the next 2 books being mostly filler.
It’s a decent series, just needs a little editing and fixing in places to make it great.
Once again Evil Skyler decided to create an emotional rollercoaster that took some breathing excercises once I was finished and able to get on with life... I started off laughing, then she broke my heart, build it back up again agonizingly slow and piece by piece, to make me end up looking at the final words and no longer knowing how to feel... It's one of the reasons why I love this authors work so much: She never chooses the easy road, and the hurdles these characters need to take feel like a 20 mile long obstacle course. The influence of Aaliyah on her mates becomes more clear, and I like how she builds them up without a desire to chance who they are deep down. I'm still not sure about Slade; he's one of those characters I love to hate, but with every layer that's added to his character I understand him better. It's one of those character I'll remember years after this series is finished, mainly because of all the emotions he unlocks inside me while reading.
I loved this book, and I'm really looking forward to the next book in this series; something tells me Mia is going to be an amazing addition to the story!
Wow this fourth book runs the whole gambit of emotions! The love is there but mix in fear, anguish and pain. I love the Egyptian God pantheon, so this series really has hooked me in with that aspect and it definitely continues here. Each of these characters not only has their own personalities and life history, as the Gods avatars, they also carry their Gods or Goddess' skills and powers. The FMC is fierce and stands firm for what she believes in, much to the detriment of her relationships sometimes - but I really admire how firm she is in her beliefs. The four MMC's are complex and each have their own strengths and weaknesses. I felt like this book in particular really delved into the darkness of PTSD and depression, how your own brain can tell you that things are not as they seem. As someone who has struggled with both, I really appreciated the way it was approached and the healing that happened here. With an ending that raises a whole lot of things to unpack, this was amazing! Heat was high, tensions were simmering and the story is intense!
Aaliyah’s journey continues… love and hate, truth or dare, live or die… so much happens but still so much more to go. Love seeing Aaliyah grow into her role and her men make leaps to become who they need to be to win the war and their old lady. As this is book 4 in a 6 book series I will not say too much so as to not spoil the first books if you haven't started this series yet. I say this every time but I love the fact that this is a modern take on Egyptian mythology, which we do not see very frequently because I am a huge nerd for any mythological retellings. Aaliyah is dealing with issues from all sides, whether that be her relationships (*ahem* communication is key), with the police, or with the war that Danny has started. Personally, the relationship issue is starting to get on my nerves because all of it could be solved if they would just talk and be honest with each other, but that may just be me. I cannot wait to see how all of the issues that Aaliyah is facing are resolved especially the ones in regard to her relationships with her mates.
My heart started racing as I started this book. I knew this addition to the series was going to be a whirlwind of emotions and a wild ride! I've said it before, I love the concept of this series, the mix of mythology with a modern day MC is just awesome and blended together so well. These characters are phenomenal, my heart keeps breaking for them, they go through so so much and it is all written so well, the attention to detail, the depth, it all makes these characters feel realistic, as if I am right there in the book with them, feeling all the feels. I have really come to appreciate Aaliya , she has been dealt some really crummy hands and she is really trying so hard to make things work and it feels like for every step forward, it's two steps back. Whether it's her relationship with her men, or MC business, the war with her brother, all of it keeps you at the edge of your seat, the drama, the steam , the action and mystery, all of it keeps you entertained to the last page!

Ahhh there’s nothing like a reaping revenge against a lowlife family member!! Aaliyah is seeking revenge against all the wrongs that her brother has done and there is plenty to be vengeful for. With her Jackals, the war against the wolves is on.
The second to last book in this series and it will have you gripped as much as the first one. Skyler Andra does a great job bringing this fantasy world to life and making it almost tangible for the reader. Her descriptions and characters are always top notch and in always latch onto her stories. You are completely transported in Themis book and only return to the real world when it’s over.
A fantastic book that has so many twists that I don’t know what will happen next! A great book/series for Hans of reincarnation, shifters, Egyptian mythology, and/or MC gangs.
This 4th book almost read like a finale, and since I knew going in that there is still another book to come, I cannot wait for the climax to come! Yes, there is some very dark stuff going down in this book, and the author gives us a heathy trigger warning right from jump, so if you are sensitive, this may not be a good series for you. But if you are made of stronger stock, take a seat, buckle in, and get ready for one AMAZING ride! And I don't mean just on the motorcycles! There is plenty of god action, 4 smexy men and so much plot that I don't even want to take a stroll through this writer's office. This is one of her best series that I have read to date, and I have read several now. If you haven't started yet, what are you waiting for? Do it now! With only one book left to be released, now is the time to get reading!
Jackal’s Wrath MC is Skyler Andra’s amazing series that host avatars of Egyptian shifter gods as leaders within the club.
Broken Mates is book 4 of 6 and continues Aaliyah’s heart wrenching story of meeting her mates, then attempting to juggles her responsibilities to each, while one struggles against believing she is not treacherous.
This is a fast-paced and action packed series, that shows all the pitfalls of unfaithful family, lost loyalty, and the opportunity for love, and let’s face it -a lot of steam- to create havoc in the Jackal’s MC.
It is a creative series that blends mythology, motorcycle clubs, desperation, lust, jealousy, and love. It is a lot to handle, just like Nurse A and her mates.
This is book 4 in Andra's Jackals' Wrath MC series and is another great addition to this paranormal, reverse harem series. This really should not be read as a standalone but rather in series order if possible. This book, like others in the series is pulling at all my emotions. Main character Aaliyah is tied to her mates but struggles with the bonds of family too. There is so much going on in this read and I loved every minute of it. I love how each of these characters come thru with unique personalities and the modern twist to mythology is delightful. Full of heartache and hope - I can't wait to see what's in store next!
This book was given to me for free at my request and I voluntarily provided this review.
Broken Mates is the fourth book in the Jackals' Wrath MC series. This cannot be read as a standalone.
Aaliyah has found herself smack dab in the middle of a war between her brother, Danny's club, The Wolves and her Mate's, Slade, Castor, Zethan, and Alaric's club, the Jackals. However, Danny has taken it way too far. Aaliyah must find a way to stop him before he completely causes mass destruction.
I FREAKING LOVE THIS SERIES!!! Skyler Andra completely sends me on this hot, steamy, wild, emotional Rollercoaster ride. You are definitely feeling the tension and struggles each character is going through. And we are left with another cliffhanger. Can't wait for the next installment of this incredible series
This one is full of blood, trauma and death, which made reading it really tough. Granted there is a list of Triggers at the start of the book to give readers advance warning or the chance to skim past. On that note specifically the details about the last TW in the list happens in Chapter 33 (not 32 as shown on the list).
There’s more to and fro between some of the characters, notably around Alaric’s PTSD. I liked that the author didn’t go for the use of magic to fix his PTSD. For all that this is pure fiction PTSD is painfully real, some things shouldn’t be handled flippantly, regardless of context.
So yeah this one packs a mean punch, well worth reading if you’re already invested in the story!
Fourth book in the series and each book just gets more intense. This had me on the edge of my seat guessing what would happen next. This is a MC book and has a lot of triggers for some people. The author has done a great job of giving heads up on them. Aaliyah is the main female character and as a nurse she has seen some terrible things but being in a MC brings all new problems and pains. The Avatars of the story give such a unique twist to the story. They never overpower it but add so much too it. This is not the last book but several situations and problems seem to have been solved but you never know what new twists the author will throw at is next.
I really enjoyed this 4th book in the series based off Egyptian mythology. The magic is getting more interesting and stronger, and the war between the Wolves and Jackals is still raging. I really love this book's focus on the mates, although their miscommunication is a little annoying. But pride does that! And poor Alaric gets a bit more focus while the other books focused more on Zethan, Slade, and Castor, although we get to see Aaliyah with all her mates. I can't wait for the the next book. I thought this was a four book series, but now realize it is probably 6 books, and I don't know what else the author has to throw at us.
Okay, this series is actually getting better with each book. The first two were a bit rough with editing, dragging on, lots of back and forth, etc. In this one, the storyline was fairly well paced. We get some closure on a couple of things, but more things are added to keep the story going.
Once again, they go head to head against the Wolves, hopefully taking them out once and for all. Aaliyah faces a huge part of her past with the help of Zethan. Orders are disobeyed, causing discord in the club, let alone between the avatars and their relationship with Aaliyah.
One thing down on their list of problems, only about twenty more to go!
Evil Skyler is definitely in-charge when this book was created. The emotions this book gave me had me laughing, crying and scared for the characters. It's a fantastic addition to the series and it just keeps getting better and better. There's some great plot building and character building that I adored. The writing is fantastic and full of details that will have you in awe like you're actually there in the scene. I loved the series from book one, and at book four I'm fully head over heels! Five fantastic stars!
I’m still so happy we get a book based around Egyptian mythology. It’s so much fun to see this take on the myths. Our FMC sadly can’t seem to catch a break. She’s dealing with so many different things that won’t let her take a moment and unwind. She does need to work on communication. This one had me feeling so many different emotions and I felt like I was on a roller coaster. I want to hug those characters so badly. I don’t want to say too much so as not to give anything away from previous books but this is a great series and well worth the read.
Aaliyah and her mates are back in the fourth installment of the Jackal's Wrath MC series, and we are put right into the action! With so many problems surrounding them, it is tragic to see how much they all have to struggle to get to their goals, but together they really are powerful. It is wonderful to see how much Aaliyah has grown since the first book, and there is still more to see in the coming books! I also have to mention that the Egyptian mythology used throughout is breathtaking! I really enjoy stories based on mythos. I can't wait for book 5!
I am absolutely in love with this series. Aaliyah is such a bada$$ after everything she has been through and it just doesn't stop. I love how her walls are beginning to crumble and she is letting the guys in. The tension between her and Alaric feels like a living thing when you read it. Skyler has done a grand job with her words and making you feel everything that is going on. This book in the series is such a roller coaster of emotions and I truly can't to see what comes next now that one problem has been dealt with.
Evil relative, unrest, so much happening. Fate playing games as it usually does. One heck of a ride, many ups and downs. At times I did not know how to feel, but I could not put it down. I feel that the ending left me satisfied. We always want more! I Loved It!!! No Spoilers! I received an ARC from the Author and I am Leaving this Totally Honest Review because I choose to and think that it is a Great Story!!!
Blimey well this book was a hella lot darker than the others in the series or at least i thought so. It was chock full of great plot twists and turns. Things get complicated for all of them as their loyalties are tested as well as their relationship. Whilst Alaric is having big problems with trust and Danny is still causing trouble especially for Aaliyah (FMC). Fast paced and action packed this series is just bloody brilliant. Im just loving it
Broken Mates will take you on an emotional ride. It seems like the fates are working to keep them from finding their HEA. Curses and an evil brother that working for an unknown foe is making everything more difficult for Aaliyah and the others. But you have to love Nurse A, she just gets better and better. She is strong and gives her guys what they need. I also love the avatars and how they add to each character and the story as a whole. And after that ending... I need the next book.
Brilliant read. Love this story. Danny is creating more challenges than ever and more foes than just him arise getting between Aaliyah and her men. They have so much to overcome. Zethans curse still remains and hurts more than ever. loyalties are tested and trust needs to be earned. Slade needs to learn to overstep. Alaric needs to sort himself out and Caster well he can be all too much. Brilliant read.
