Dr. Zora Smyth has only one choice: fight the enemy or end up dead.
Chief surgical resident Zora Smyth only planned to solve the nameless patients case that landed on her operating table and complete the rest of her residency in peace. It shouldn’t be as difficult as facing false murder charges from a serial killer, or enduring a brush with death, right?
But her search for the truth makes her the target of a ruthless adversary, one much closer to her than she imagines and obsessed with turning her most feared nightmare—losing her reputation, license, and her life—into reality.
With a larger-than-life enemy nipping at her heels, Zora races to clear her name, save her medical license, and stay alive while doing so.
Will she succeed or will she lose her life at the hands of an enemy and an organization willing to trample everything she holds dear?
LETHAL OBSESSION is the third book in Dobi Cross' gripping suspense-filled series of medical thrillers. If you like page-turning non-gory medical thrillers filled with unexpected rollercoaster twists and intrigue, you’ll love LETHAL OBSESSION.
As a former physician and business executive in another life—with a childhood filled with reading multi-genre novels (including Shakespeare in the original version)—Dobi Cross loves to write thrilling stories with heart.
She enjoys dreaming up everyday characters who rise above unfavorable circumstances to overcome incredible odds. When not writing, Dobi can be found binging K-dramas and ice cream with her little sidekick by her side.
This book is the latest installment in the life of Dr Zora Smyth as she tries to complete her surgical residency and get on with her life as a surgeon. It's not so much a who-dunit, because we know who it is but Zora doesn't, as a thriller. This book finds Zora arrested for the murder of Dr Edwards. She stands to lose everything she has ever wanted. It builds Zora's character more, gives more personal insight. We even know tha Ethiopian Yirgacheffe coffee is her favorite. We feel her fear and frustration and rejoice in her strength. I can't wait for more! I want to thank the author for giving me a copy of this book to read and review. I love her writing style. It is highly readable and is developing the more she writes. I loved this book! Well most of it anyway. I'm sure the author knows what I am speaking of but I don't want to spoil the book for the readers.
I love this series and have been waiting for this book to come out. It did not disappoint. I don't want to give spoilers but there is.one part that I really really disliked and I think when you read it you will know which part that is. We get to meet her mother and that is very enjoyable.
Great as always, I love medical thrillers and this series is just so good, we find Zora still fighting for her career and her life. A review copy of this book was sent to me by the author. All of the above opinions are my own.
This time for murder . She goes to jail , 3 attempts to kill her and a mysterious prisoner saves her . I almost want to say etc etc etc as more grief comes to her . Lots of typos
I loved this fast paced medical thriller that reads like a Robin Cook novel. Chief resident Zora fights the hospital establishment as she works to discover why bodies are disappearing. I had to read this in one sitting.
I am really liking this series by Dobi Cross. This is the second book I read in a total of two days. Fast-paced action, clean of dirty language, but heavy-hitting subject matter.
Another amazing story of legal medical intrigue and suspense. Complex characters, edge of the seat scenes, and unexpected plot twists. Dobi Cross is a marvelous writer.
What a great book! Zora, a medical resident surgeon, is caught in the lies by others. Charged with murder she must prove her innocence while an insane man is obsessed with her. It's a fast paced and exciting book!
