Follow life in Dr. Zoya Smith's life and all of its challenges. If trouble is around, she will find it. This was the best of this series except the very last line of the book. Luckily the 5th book is already available so you can keep reading.

I love Medical Thrillers and I love Zora Smyth. She is just back to work after the horrible murders and detention in Lethal Obsession. As a bit of punishment her new boss assigns her to the Medical Reconciliation Committee which examines cases of preventable death. All doctors hate this committee because of the unending paperwork it involves but for Zora paperwork is the least of her worries. At the first meeting she detects a pattern in these deaths. She resigns from the committee and tries to stay out of it but the people involved go after her and her loved ones. She decides the only way to put an end to it is to solve the case. This was a very satisfying book in most ways until the last sentence. As usual the author throws us for a loop and leaves us wanting more. These books are a series and are best read that way. At least for this book I think reading book 3 first is a must to better understand it. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and read late into the night to finish it. Even if the author had not given me a free copy I would have reviewed it the same way. If you like medical mysteries, read this series. It is a fun murder mystery series, not heavy and preachy like Robin Cook has become (although the healthcare industry does deserve his preaching). And after that last sentence, I can't wait for the next book. Please write fast Ms Cross!

This book got away from the medical aspect a great deal but is still a book you won't want to put down. As usual no matter how Does tried to distance herself from trouble she just can't quite seem to avoid it. You won't be disappointed in this story and you won't want to put it down
