असत्यमेव जयते...? [Asatyamev Jayate...?]
भारत हा जगाच्या पाठीवरील बहुदा एकमेव देश असेल ज्याचा प्राचीन, वैभवशाली इतिहास नेहमीच मोडतोड करून, मोठ्या प्रमाणात दिशाभूल करून सादर करण्यात आला आहे. वेगवेगळ्या कालखंडात, वेगवेगळ्या शक्तींनी, वेगवेगळ्या कारणांसाठी हे केलं असलं तरी त्यांचे स्वार्थ एकमेकांशी जुळत असल्यामुळे गेली १५०-२०० वर्ष ही दिशाभूल अविरत सुरुच आहे. संपूर्ण असत्य आणि काल्पनिक गोष्टी कुठलाही पुरावा नसताना 'इतिहास' म्हणून प्रस्थापित करण्यात आल्या आहेत, तसंच शेकडो पुरावे असलेल्या घटना ‘घडल्याच नाहीत' म्हणून बेदरकारपणे नाकारण्यात आल्या आहेत. इतकंच नव्हे, तर या खोटेपणाविरुद्ध आवाज उठविणाऱ्या आणि खरा इतिहास सांगू पहाणाऱ्यांना 'प्रतिगामी', 'धर्मांध' ठरवून वैचारिक क्षेत्राच्या परीघावर ढकलून देण्यात आलं आहे आणि त्यांचं प्रतिपादन जगासमोर येणारच नाही अशा रितीने दडपून टाकण्यात आलं आहे. गेल्या काही वर्षात, काही विद्वान संशोधकांनी या वैचारिक दडपशाहीविरुद्ध हार न मानता भारताचा खरा इतिहास सप्रमाण जगासमोर आणणारं मौलिक संशोधन केलं आहे. आजवर भारताच्या इतिहासाबद्दल करण्यात आलेली दिशाभूल देशासाठी फारच हानीकारक ठरली आहे. कारण यामुळे भारतीयांच्या कित्येक पिढ्या न्यूनगंड आणि पराभूत मनोवृत्तीचा बळी ठरल्या आहेत. म्हणूनच या संशोधनाचं मूल्य अपार आहे. वैदिक काळापासून स्वातंत्र्ययुद्धापर्यंत इतिहासाच्या प्रत्येक टप्प्यावर झालेली दिशाभूल मराठी वाचकांसमोर यावी यासाठी हे पुस्तक लिहिण्याचा प्रयत्न केला आहे.

पुस्तक क्रमबद्ध तरीके से भारतीय इतिहास की भ्रांतियों पर चर्चा करती है। प्रथम आर्य के भारत आगमन का संदर्भ सहित खंडन करती है। द्वितीय भारत के इतिहास को पराजितों का इतिहास कहा जाने को अन्य देशों के इतिहास से तुलनात्मक अध्ययन कराती है व प्रतिपादित करती है कि भारत का इतिहास सतत संघर्षों का इतिहास रहा है। अन्य प्रमुख भ्रांतियों का भी पुस्तक में विषय उठाया गया है।

Every proud Indian, who wants to know the real history, with adequate evidences supporting the narrative in the book, must read this book. Not only read, but help your children and friends read this. History is always seen with the eyes of the author. So India's complicated history was further distorted by the then leader's vested interests. But why should you believe the contents of this book? Because this gives convincing replies, which you don't get elsewhere. This vast country, it's multi-cultural history, it's noble rules of even wars (No, Indians don't believe in everything fair in love and war!!!), it's tolerant ways of accommodating others (birth and growth of religions like Jainism, Baudhism, Sikhism, and accommodation of Zoroastrian, Tibbet's exiled government in India - are enough as evidrnces) and it's deep devotion towards its own living Sanatani culture. To top it up, the brave kings and queens- fought valiantly over centuries, and therefore between 633 to 750, major part of world succumbed to certain religion, Hindustan still standing tall with pride. Pl do read this book, to convince yourself the reasons why only Hindustan could withstand this tsunami, while west Asia, central Asia, western Europe, northern Africa... could not.

सध्या भारताचा पाठ्यपुस्तकातील इतिहास सर्वधर्मसमभाव ला ठेच लागू नये म्हणून हडप्पा संस्कृती, आर्यांचे आक्रमण, गौतम बुद्ध , सम्राट अशोक, मुघल साम्राज्य, अकबर बादशहा, इंग्रज, गांधी-नेहरू यांच्यापुरताच सीमित ठेवल्यामुळे ज्या इतर लोकांनी दैदिप्यमान कामगिरी केली होती त्यांबद्दल बऱ्याच भारतीयांना ठाऊक नाही.
लेखकाने या कमी परिचित किंवा पूर्णतः अपरिचित लोकांबद्दल माहिती करून दिल्याबद्दल जेवढे आभार मानावे तेवढे थोडेच आहे.
पहिल्या प्रकरणात युरोपियन लोकांनी त्यांच्या सोयीसाठी मांडलेला आर्यांचा आक्रमण सिद्धांत हा अनेक भारतीयांची दिशाभूल करून उत्तर-दक्षिण, हिंदी - तामिळ, ब्राह्माण- बहुजन अशा वादाला कारणीभूत झाला आहे. आर्य हे पश्चिमेकडून पूर्वेकडे न जाता पूर्वेकडूनच पश्चिमेकडे कसे गेले याचे निरनिराळे संदर्भ देत स्पष्टीकरण देण्याचा प्रयत्न केला आहे.
दुसऱ्या प्रकरणात अरबस्तानात इस्लाम चा उदय झाल्यापासून भारतात इस्लामी राजवट लागू होण्यापर्यंतचा भारताचा इतिहास हा पराभूतांचा इतिहास नसून संघर्षाचा इतिहास होता हे निरनिराळ्या योद्धा आणि त्यांनी लढलेली युद्धे यांचे सोदाहरण देऊन स्पष्ट केला आहे.
तिसऱ्या प्रकरणात मुस्लिम आक्रमणकर्त्यांनी भारतीय जनतेचे जे शोषण केले आणि त्यावर आज पर्यंत पांघरून घालून असे काही घडलेच नाही असे जे चित्र जनमानसात रुजवण्याचा प्रयत्न केला गेला त्यावर भाष्य केले आहे.
चौथ्या प्रकरणात प्राचीन भारतातील सम्राट अशोक आणि मध्ययुगात अकबर बादशाहची जी थोरवी गाण्यात आली त्यातील तथ्य उलगडण्याचा प्रयत्न केला आहे. धर्मनिरपेक्षतेचा चेहरा बनवलेल्या अकबर बादशहा पेक्षा त्याचा पणतू दारा शुकोह आणि इब्राहिम आदिलशहा जास्त सर्वधर्म समभाव मानणारे होते यावरही प्रकाश टाकला आहे.
तसेच सुफी पंथ म्हणजे मुस्लिम समाजातील विरक्त, शांतीप्रिय संत होते या गैसमजूतीला तडा दिला आहे.
पुढच्या प्रकरणात भारतातील अनिष्ट प्रथा, आर्थिक आणि शैक्षणिक मागासलेपण यांची कारणे शोधून त्यासाठी कोण जबाबदार होते याचा मागोवा घेतला आहे.
शेवटच्या प्रकरणात भारतीय स्वातंत्र्य लढ्यात फक्त महात्मा गांधीच महत्वाचे नसून इतर लोकांनी दिलेले योगदान आणि त्याची परिणीती म्हणून मिळालेले स्वातंत्र्य यावर बोट ठेवले आहे.
शेवटी या सर्व गोष्टी आता उकलून काढून काय साध्य होईल आणि त्यामुळे भारतीयांतील संघर्ष आधिक तीव्र होतील या प्रश्नाला सर्वार्थाने उत्तर द्यायचाही लेखकाने प्रयत्न केला आहे.
एकंदरीत ज्यांना हा समांतर इतिहास तुटकपणे वा पूर्णतः अज्ञात असेल तर त्यांनी हे पुस्तक एकदा वाचायलाच हवे.

अच्छी तरह से शोधित और जानकारीपूर्ण पुस्तक। यह पुस्तक हममें जागरूकता पैदा करने और हमें अपने अतीत को सही तरीके से जानने में सक्षम बनाने में काफी मदद करेगी।
