As R&B singer, Jazzlyn, struggles to get through the writing process for her third studio album, she begins to doubt her gifts. When her brother suggests she work with his best friend from high school, Orion, Jazzlyn is hesitant but agrees.
Together Orion and Jazzlyn create magic.
But is it only about the music, or will Jazzlyn finally experience a love like the one in her songs?
A sweet, gentle love tale unfolded between Jazz and Orion. The chemistry between them and how music brought them together I adore that they were about to embrace to a love and admiration.
Sweet friends to lovers tale, with minimal drama, and lots of love connections. Orion and Jazzlyn were really cute together, and finally got their happy ending. 👍👍
This was a second-chance love story with a twist. It wasn't the typical one where both people have already settled down with someone else. Orion and Jazz loved each other since they were kids. They knew but just never recognized or communicated it to each other. Fate has a way to make important actions and events come full circle. Orion was just the man that Jazz needed to get out of her writer's block. Orion knew her heart, talent, and taste in music. His contribution to her album was like him throwing a lifesaver vest for Jazz's career. They were meant for each other their talents and craft matched. Their love for one another was unmatched because it ran so deep. Orion obtained his dream career and the love of his life.
Ms. Laika, I enjoyed Orion and Jazz's story. I have to say that the strength that Orion and Rome had to practically raise their siblings was honorable. Their closeness stemmed from how they had to fill more than the brother role. I am also glad to see Rome and Toni and Damian and Kassie find each other. I love to read when all the friends and family in the circle win. And Mrs. Jennings, got her prayer answered with a grandbaby from Patricia.
An endearing beautifully written story about a love delayed. Jazz and Orion were familiar in their teenage years. In adulthood they were able to grow was starting when they were mindful of Romes feelings.
Jazzlyn loved Orion and he loved her since they were kids growing up in their neighborhood. Her being a successful artist and him trying to become a producer kept them from connecting until it didn't. Messy folks tried to tear them apart but love prevailed! That messy assistant got her just desserts! Rome was hilarious but he finally got bitten by the love bug too! A few grammatical errors but a great read! First time checking out this author, won't be the last!
I am a fan of Ms. Laika. Her hero's always love hard, recognize their "one" and claim her. She also shows how communication is the resolution. This was a great story that had me a little antsy because I don't like denying yourself of love. As Jazz and Orion evolved and claimed their love it was nice to witness. The little drama helped to keep you entertained. Good read.
This whole book had me in a headlock lol but I loved every second of it! I was smiling the whole time whenever Orion and Jazz was around each other! I had all the feels I just couldn’t take it! I was just saying that I needed to read a book with a lot of love in it with some drama (not a lot of drama) just enough that it doesn’t overshadow the romance. And boooooyyyyy did this book deliver!!!! *chefs kiss” 💋
This was more than your usual friends to lovers trope. This was a deeper connection off the rip. Orion is definitely another book bae to add to the book bae collection (Sorry Jazzlyn lol). That Sherri definitely was a trip and the epitome of delusional. Seeing the love between these two characters and their loved ones was everything!! I definitely swooned a lot throughout this story. As We Connect was spot on!!
Orion came back to get the one he has loved since childhood but he wanted to protect her career also. That was the best thing for him and Jazz. From there, they acknowledged their love for one another and strengthened that relationship. The beauty of their love was built on trust and forgiveness, but there is always someone jealous. A good story. Now can we get a follow up on Rome and Damian, the brothers?
This may be my favorite book from this author now. I just really loved Orion and Jazzy. Their love was so pure for one another. The way they protected and wanted the best for one another was so endearing. I’m happy how the story played out and how Jazz found her tribe and the offshoot from those relationships. This was truly a feel good romance.
Bad editing does a disservice to an author. Authors come up with these amazing stories and characters etc. and the book would get slammed because of the editing.
I am not a grammar teacher or a spelling bee champ, bad grammar and misspelled words etc. kill my interest in a story. Unfortunately this was one of those instances.
This is my first book from this author. The cover inspired me to read it and I'm so glad I did. I loved Orion's love for Jazz, he even rubbed off on Rome. That Sherri, smh. Any time someone calls you "sis", RUN FOR THE HILLS 😜 I can't wait to read other titles from this author.
This was such a gentle love story. The fast but steady pace of Jazz and Orion’s relationship was sweet and refreshing. They loved each other completely. This was a perfect end of the year read.
This was an amazing story. The story line was on point never waivering. True love and music combining people to be at there highest point in life. Being able to find that type of love that's unconditional, that's what everybody need.
So glad that love always wins. And for Jazz and Orion, I'm so glad they had a long-time love that only grew stronger as the years went by. And I love the way Rome took care of his sister and finally allowed himself to love. A wonderful story all around.
