Daring Ceri is an Enemies to Lovers Rock Star Romance story and the sixth book in True Platinum series. Each book is centred on a different couple but can be read as standalones. However, I encourage you to start at the beginning.
It is easy to like and become invested in Morgana’s characters and the chemistry between them is most certainly sizzling.
Alex is a rock star bad boy and life of the party well he was once upon a time. He is also the one that broke her heart and crushed her spirit. Now that their paths have crossed again, he just needs to show her he has changed.
It took a long time for Ceri to get over the one she thought would be forever but was the one who crushed her spirit and broke her. Now fate is messing with her by putting them in the same place at the same time. She won’t fall for that twice.
Daring Ceri is also a forced proximity steamy second chance tale that is full of emotions, angst, trust issues, pain, hurt, tension, frustrations, drama and much more to keep the pages turning.
I really enjoyed the push-pull between these characters and the will they won’t they.
You will need to read it to find out what happens.

I love a good second chance romance. I also love rockstar romance, so combining the two was always going to be a hit. Daring Ceri us excellent.

The second book in The Brightside series by Morgana Bevan sees Alex and Ceri thrown together when she discovers that they got married while drunk on holiday, years previously. Ceri is planning her wedding to her new fiancé and now needs a divorce but Alex wants to keep Ceri and take advantage of his second chance with the love of his life.

Like all of Morgana Bevans books this one make me happy. I read with a smile on my face, even when i wanted to give Alex a good shake.

Being back with the members of The Brightside was great, and an added bonus was appearances from Rhiannon and Lovers Knot along the way.

Highly recommended read.

For All Rock Romance Lovers

I always love a good rock romance and Daring Ceri fits the bill. Alex and Ceri had a past until he left her for fame but now Ceri is finding out that their past is messing with her future with her current fiancé. Before Alex gives Ceri what she wants he wants to make her see that he has truly changed and is the man for her. Nothing like a little blackmail to get his message across.

This was a really good second chance rock romance that made this a book I book I can recommend.

And it's delicious to read...
Morgana Bevan wrote a fast paced story that grabbed my attention from page one and never let me go.
I felt all the emotions with Ceri : anger, annoyance,fear, admiration and love. Alex deserves them all !

Upon the cusp of Brightside becoming famous, Alex broke up with Ceri in the backseat of a taxi so he wouldn’t have to cheat to enjoy the spoils of the rock and roll life. Both Alex and Ceri move on with their lives. Ceri is engaged and goes to the courthouse to acquire a marriage license, only to find out she is legally married to Alex from their Fiji vacation. Neither Alex nor Ceri were aware of being married, as they had both been too drunk to remember that it happened and much less that it was a legally binding ceremony. Ceri seeks out Alex in a club, wanting him to sign divorce papers so she can get married to someone else. Alex sees this as an opportunity to win her back by proposing she go on tour with the band as a backup dancer. Then, if no feelings of love and lust resurface, he will sign her divorce papers. Daring Ceri is Book #6 in the True Platinum series by Morgana Bevan. There are eight books in this series, each one focuses on a different duo, so each one could be read as a standalone- but having said that, there are recurring characters and other relevant information throughout the series that you will want to know about- so I highly recommend reading the entire series from the beginning- as each book will add flavour to, and enhance, your overall reading experience.
It is a sublime enemies-to-lovers, second chance, rockstar romance with a bit of a forced proximity element, loads of chemistry, sizzle, angst, drama, emotion, angst, accidental marriage, and taking a chance on love again.
What would you do if you were planning your dream wedding only to discover that you were already married…….. to someone else??? The someone else who broke your heart and left you reeling. Awkward much. Well, that’s exactly the predicament that Ceri finds herself in, and now needs a divorce asap so her impending wedding can go ahead. She never realised that a drunken night’s antics eight years earlier had resulted in her being married- and that news has the potential to destroy her ‘new’ life. Alex sees this as an opportunity to win her back and prove he isn’t the ‘bad-boy’ rocker he used to be. He's going to have to use all his ‘talents’ in his quest if he has any hope of convincing her to give him a second chance. Love is worth fighting for- right?

I enjoyed reading Daring Ceri and I was surprised to see that the books in this series overlap. I figured there’d be a slight overlap at the end but no, this was revealed to overlap pretty early on. I really enjoy reading the work this author releases. I’ve read quite a few books from her and she draws me in every time. I never want to put the book down.
Ceri and Alex’s story is no different. At the beginning I was getting “Sweet Home Alabama” vibes for anyone who has seen that movie. And if you love it like I do, definitely read this book.
Ceri is excited to move on with her life, but unfortunately finds out there’s a massive bump in her road. How can she get married, when she’s already married to someone else? What makes it worse is it’s the one man who hurt her the most. Why did she have to be attached to Alex?
Alex was dumbfounded to find out his second chance was thrust in front of him in this way. He was married to the one who got away, this was his chance to make it right. One problem, she was demanding a divorce. So he convinced her to give him 3-4 months on tour to prove to her otherwise, if he was wrong he would sign the papers.
Things start unraveling quickly between them. The constant push and pull. His label is against their relationship. The tabloids have gotten wind. They constantly are pushing each other’s buttons. Her fiancé leaves her.
So what happens when the tour finally kicks off?
Will she give in or stand her ground?
What will the label say?
The tour is where the real fun in this second chance romance begins. When I mean fun, I mean for the reader. Because this is the juicy part of the story. The part that keeps us turning the pages and wanting more…

This is book 6 in the True Platinum series. Even though it is a part of a series I can be read as a standalone however once you've read one I have a feeling you will want to read them all. This book is a second chance rockstar romance. The author does an amazing job of transporting the reader into this world. This story is full of intense chemistry, heartbreak, trust issues, angst, and a fight between your heart and your head. You are immediately gripped by this couples story and my emotions kept changing from wanting them to succeed and wanting Ceri to not go back.
Alex and Ceri were sweethearts. Ceri thought they would be together forever but at the time Alex didnt seem to have the same vision. His career and the fame that came with it was more important and circumstances caused them to split and left Ceri with a broken heart she didn't think she would ever recover from.
Years later their paths cross again. Ceri has moved on and is engaged to someone else so she isn't interested in anything that Alex has to say. However Alex is regretting everything that happened and what's her back. He is determined to prove to her that he has changes and is now the man she wants and deserves.
What lengths will he go to to prove his has changed? Will Ceri take a chance on him again and risk her heart? As much as Ceri tries to deny her feelings they are too strong but should she follow her heart or her head?
This was a captivating read which i really enjoyed. The push and pull between Alex and Ceri brought this story to life. I was happy that Ceri didn't give in easily and still kept her guard up until she felt she could trust Alex again. It was really well written and realistic that you felt you were actually watch it happen in front of you.

Daring Ceri is an enemies to lovers book. Ceri and Alex have been loving and hating each other for over a decade. At the beginning, Ceri is engaged to be married to a man named Richard. However, while trying to get her marriage license, she finds out she is already married to her ex- Alex (a famous rock star). She didn’t realize they really got married one drunk night in Fiji. Now, she has to figure out how to get divorced, but that would involve seeing Alex. Alex happens to be in her town on tour, but she is nervous because he always sucks her into him and then breaks her heart. After finally getting to Alex, he refuses to sign the divorce papers. He makes her a deal - on the road working with him, as a dancer, for three months and if she still feels the same about not wanting him, he will sign. Will she be able to resist him this time? Will he understand why she keeps rejecting his “love”? Or can the two of them find a way to make it work since the chemistry seems to be too much?
I thought the book was good. It took a while for me to like the characters. Ceri is determined not to be hurt again and so her character, at the beginning, is basic. Settling for all things that she never planned for herself. It took her a little time and honesty to really tell Alex exactly the problem she is having with him. Alex, he is just clueless to what Ceri really wants from him. He is arrogant, self-centered, and a man that is not appealing for many women on a long-term basis. However, as the book progresses, you do see the progress in both characters. Overall, I enjoyed their turbulent story.

This is book six in The True Platinum Rock Star Romance series and it is Alex and Ceri’s story. Alex and Ceri have history together because at one time they had been so in love only for Alex to walk away for fame and fortune leaving Ceri behind devastated and heartbroken. When Alex and Ceri meet again he is determined to show her that he had changed and was not the same selfish person that he used to be but Ceri had already moved on and wasn’t ever going to be drawn into Alex orbit or lifestyle but when a shock discovery shows that Alex and Ceri have been married for years after a drunken night together she confronts Alex about a divorce so that she can marry her fiancé but Alex is determined to not only win her back and get a second chance with her but also he will not divorce her because she is not marrying someone else because his love for her had never died and he will prove that he should be her choice because he always regretted walking away from the person that he loved. There are twists and tuns that will have you turning the pages along with drama, anger, forgiveness, emotional situations, heartbreak, childhood sweethearts, second chances, great characters and some strong and hot chemistry and I really enjoyed reading Alex and Ceri story and I can’t wait to read more books in this series.

Daring Ceri is Book Six in the True Platinum Rock Star Romance Series. It is a second chance, rockstar romance full of love, loss, lust, betrayal, angst, and passion. The story centers around the characters of Ceri and Alex who went their separate ways years earlier. Alex’s band was on the verge of becoming famous and he broke it off with Ceris so he would not be cheating on her. Ceri was heartbroken over this but after years apart she has finally found someone and is about to become married. However, things get a bit tricky when she discovers that she is somehow legally married to Alex after a drunken wedding ceremony in Fuji years ago. Now she must find Alex and get divorce papers signed. When Alex sees Ceri he regrets breaking up with her and wants to win her back. He tells her to return to his band as their backup dancer for one tour and if she has no feelings for him, they can go their separate ways. The ensuing journey is a rough one as Alex tries to prove his love and loyalty to Ceri who is determined to not have him break her heart for a second time. No matter how hard she tries to fight it though, Ceri is inexplicably drawn to Alex. This was a steamy second chance romance that hooked me from the first pages and had me reading until the end.

Daring Ceri by Morgana Bevan is a lovers to enemies to lovers again. This story can be read as a standalone along with the other books in the series. This takes during and after Braving lily if you follow the series. You will get the inside look into Ceri and Alex’s life and how everything happened in the beginning and up to being “reunited” under extreme circumstances.

Ceri is going about her life getting ready to marry Richard, getting there marriage certificate for the wedding in October till things took a turn of her worst nightmares. What will she do?

This story is brilliant, it is in a UK setting as all the books I’ve read so far in this series are. (Daring Ceri, Braving Lily, Defying Ella). Ceri and Alex’s story is really what it’s like to date someone from your past or even present. A matter of giving chance after chance just to have your heart broken, the constant push of “what if”. “What if they really have changed and things could be different this time?” But overall this book shows that 2 people can really find their way back to one another that anything is possible. I believe anyone who loves a rockstar romance with lovers to enemies to lovers again should read this. It was truly impeccable. 5 stars to this gem.

I love Morgana Bevan's writing! She writes in such a way that you feel as if you are in the book yourself and truly a part of the characters' stories. This is the third book in this series that I've read and it definitely won't be the last. Do I wish I had read the books in order? Yes, but as they can all be read as a standalone, it isn't necessary. I'm just overjoyed to have found a great new series and an author to add to my favorites pile.

What would you do if you went to get a marriage license only to find out you're already legally married to the man that broke your heart? This is exactly what happens to Ceri in this fun book about second chances. As she is drawn back into Alex's world, will she let him draw her back into his bed and into her heart or will she be able to keep her walls up and protect herself from the man who already broke her heart once before? I really loved watching the character growth in these two as they try to figure out love and life. Can they go from just existing in life to finding their real passion and where they are truly meant to be? Find out for yourself as you read this book and series…you won't be sorry!

Its a second chance romance about Alex the guitarist from the band Brightside and Cheri his former back up dancer. Cheri has moved on and is now engaged to someone else. Happy in her life and on the way to a good future she goes to get her marriage license and finds out that she is still legally married to Alex. On a trip with Alex they got too drunk to remember and got married not realizing it was a legally binding marriage. When Cheri finds Alex in a club and asks him to sign divorce papers he tells her if she will come back on tour with him as a dancer he will sign them. Alex thinks he can win Cheri back and show her he's changed when she's on tour with him. Will they be able to work things out. Cheri knows she has always loved Alex more than anyone but he's just such a flirt. Will she be able to trust him. Alex has his work cut out for him will he be able to prove he's changed his ways. Read this rock star romance to find out!

Morgana Bevan has become one of my favorite authors. I was definitely excited when I saw this new release. This definitely was worth my excitement. This is a fantastic enemies to lovers story. Ceri and Alex were lovers once and apparently got married in Fiji. However, Ceri definitely doesn’t remember marrying Alex and this is getting in the way of her planned marriage. Alex isn’t willing to sign the paperwork though, until she is positive she doesn’t want to be with him anymore. Ceri and Alex have amazing development as characters. It was interesting to see how they each grew and developed, which was very similar to how I would imagine they would evolve in the real world. I definitely enjoyed watching them grow in their relationship and understanding of one another. I definitely recommend reading this! Its fantastic with an excellent plot and character development.

Daring Ceri: A Second Chance Rock Star Romance (True Platinum Rock Star Romance Series Book 6)

I was late to this series but now that I have found it I am in love.

We learned about Alex and Ceri in Lily's book and this gives us the back story and picks up the day she confronts him. The story only gets better from there.

Alex is definitely the party boy/Wild child but he is also so much more than that persona. He's definitely someone I would have hung out with back in the day. Heck, he kind of reminds me of several of the guys used to hang out with, well except for the being rich and in a popular bad. I enjoyed watching him progress the further we get into the book and turn into an adult.

Ceri's actions were all self preservation after Alex wrecked her more than once. She finds happiness while trying to protect herself.

Now I have to wait until the next book is released to find out what happens next.

This was a fun entertaining read. Morgana does a great job at developing the story and keeping you engaged.

This book follows the story of Ceri and Alex. Ceri has moved on and is ready to start her new life and forget the past the best she can. Things started falling apart when she went to the local courthouse to get her marriage license for herself and her new fiance. She learns that unfortunately, she is now going to have to face the one man in this world that broke her heart.

Alex has been living most people's dreams. He is a famous rock star and gets to travel the world and have his pick of women. He is more than willing to give Ceri what she wants but only at the small cost of a three-month tour with his band.

Will old flames return? Can you truly forget and move on from your first great love? Can you prove to someone you changed when they don't want to believe you?

Beautiful love story

From screwed up to dream come true - that's what Ceri and Alex go through to get to their HEA. They've known each other forever and have been a couple since school until he takes off to join his band, leaving her behind. Now that they've hit the big time and he can have anyone he wants, Ceri is the only woman he's ever loved and the only one he wants. The challenge is that they are already marries, having done the deed in Fiji after an excessive amount to drink. Neither gives it a second thought, thinking it wasn't real. Years later, she wants to marry someone else and must talk to Alex to get the divorce papers signed. There's a whole lot of water under the bridge that needs to be cleared away because he doesn't want to let her go. This is one of the most interesting love starting ties I've read in a long time and you're going to have to read it yourself to find out how it ends. You won't be disappointed.

Look I must just say Alex you were a chop my friend ! What we’re you thinking breaking up Ceri just so you could enjoy the “sweet forbidden side” of being a rockstar , while I appreciate you not cheating what you did was a yuck thing but I still like you , yes you make me knees weak ! 🥰🙈


So both Ceri and Alex have moved on and Ceri is about to walk down the aisle when shocker upon shocker she finds out she’s still married to Alex ! Neither can remember their Fiji wedding and I’m like hello how can you not remember!?!? 🤣🙈🤷‍♀️

Alex wants to try and win Ceri over again and she just wants him to sign the papers so desperate times call for desperate measures and she takes his deal/challenge ……go on tour with them and if nothing has changed between them in that time he’ll sign the papers 😉

Alex & Ceri
I could imagine scenes of this book playing out like a movie as I read it, always a sign of a good read for me.
Alex works really hard to prove he has grown up and knows that the way to prove that to Ceri isn't in grand gestures but in remembering and providing the little details. They are the things that prove he knows her and the life they can have together is true to them and not a lifestyle.
Richard was an ass, the third act break up was needed to sever him from Ceri and it was done in a way that was just right. It wasn't OTT, too angsty or not enough either.
I've read around half of the books in this universe and like that the overlapping timelines mean some scenes are viewed from a new perspective, I prefer this to a linear one by one band member format. You can easily understand who everybody is but it also manages not to spoil other books, meaning I can read the 'missed' books without missing out.

Ceri and Alex. Lovers since they were 16. They got married one night in Fiji, but that was years ago. Ceri is now engaged to Richard, but Ceri forgot she was married until she went to get a marriage certificate. Ceri find where Alex and his band are so she can ask for a divorce.
Alex, he’s always been in love with Ceri, and she comes waltzing back in to his life after 8 years to ask for a divorce. Alex tells Ceri to come on tour for four months, then he will consider divorce.
Well while on the tour, Ceri and Alex start to fall in love with each other all over again. There is some hot spice here! Ceri and Alex start planning their lives together now. All of a sudden after three months, Richard comes in the picture again…trying to ruin their relationship because Richard wants a robot of a wife.
Just go read this! Sooo good!!

After reading and really enjoying book 5 of this series, I was thrilled to accept this ARC. I’ve loved reading Rockstar romances and this was one of the best ones I’ve read lately!

I was quite intrigued by Ceri and Alex’s story so I really enjoyed getting to see it turn out the way it did. I’ve always liked second chance romances and Ceri and Alex being childhood sweethearts just made it so much more fun! There’s plenty of tension, passion and spice between both MCs and a kind of romance that never fades.

I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a quick, spicy, Rockstar romance!

This was a great 5 star read. I love Rockstar romance and once I started I didn’t want to put it down. Ceri is getting married but she has one problem, she is still married to Alex. Alex has one request for Ceri before he grants her the divorce; she needs to join him and his band on tour. Where Alex is hoping to change her mind and give him a second chance. Overall I really enjoyed this book. The characters were great and it was nice seeing the characters from the earlier book. The author does a great job with her writing and pulls you right in. I look forward to reading more from this series and author. 1-click and get started today.

Ceri and Alex...Wow what a couple! With her heart broken years ago by Alex the last thing Ceri wants is to be drawn back into his world but when she finds out that they are actually married she has no choice but to sort it out with him. Of course getting him to sign the divorce papers isn't going to be easy when he claims to still love her.
This amazing author has yet again brought her readers wonderful characters and a fantastic storyline that will keep you totally captivated and turning page after page because you just have to know what is going to happen next! All I need to see is her name on a book now and I know I have to read it.

Ceri has everything she has hoped for with her fiancé. However when she goes to get their marriage license she finds out she is already married to Alex a member of the band Brightside. She must go find Alex and ask for a divorce. When she shows up at the bar where the band plays when they are in the area she is in for more than she bargained for. Alex makes her a deal that if she comes on tour with them for three months and not fall back in love with him he will sign the divorce papers no problem. Will Ceri be able to not fall back in love with him or will she get the divorce that she has gone to him for?

This is my third book I’ve read in the series and I am loving it. I have been very much looking forward to this one! As I was reading it, the story reminded me a bit of the movies, Sweet Home Alabama and Forever My Girl. After a very drunken moment in Fiji and an accidental marriage, Alex and Ceri go their separate ways. After time passes on and they get a bit wiser, Alex matures and he realizes his wrong doings to prove to Ceri he is a better man than when he was all those years ago. Ceri has been moving on to a new engagement and life. She’s determined to make her own life and move past her foolish mistakes. This book has such wonderful characters and you should definitely read!

Okay read but it feels incomplete.

I love second chance romance books, but for them to feel worth all the angst, I want to know more about what caused them to break up in the first place.

This felt like their break up all chalked up to “young and dumb” which is fine, but without them diving into details it made it hard to believe they were this “love for the ages” that they were both feeling supposedly.

Like… if that’s the case,

Why wait 8 years?
Why sleep around if you were planning on going after her?

He barely groveled and she didn’t even question him, it was just summed up at the end as “we went to therapy to talk about our issues” BUT WHAT ISSUES?? It was never really explained.
