This text claims it's easy to read. I think that's a pretty subjective assessment. It does not keep things simple or start from an easy place and increase in difficulty. With this book, you have to be completely focused and totally ready to jump in or you will end up reading what you need to read several times to catch it all. That being said, I ended up purchasing it (instead of renting), because I will come back to it time and again throughout nursing school. It's thorough, and I learned a lot, but it was as complex as the subject demands. I won't be using it in the future for quick and easy answers, but instead for thoughtful and in-depth ones. I'm also really glad there's a kindle version available because this book is massive in print.

Okay, so I had to read this book for my class this semester, but I really like it. I am just nerdy that way. It explains the disease process on so many different diseases in a way I can understand it. It will really enable me to help my patients.

A brutal first semester for my Master of Nursing degree made this book my best friend. The text is OK, but I've read others that read easier. The website wasn't very helpful with it's "extras." But if all goes according to plan, I'll get a "B" in the class. :)

Filled with an amazing amount of information but as all text book, dry as the Sahara. My instructor truly made us read the entire 17 lb book, then tested us on minutiae. That will forever make me hate even a glimpse of this book.
