Welcome to the Near Future. A Future perhaps not that far away. This is the ninth book in the series, a near future sci-fi thriller series set in a world that combines science that just might be possible with psychic visions and an evil Organization that is backed by an unknown power. Discovery of who is behind that power and how to overcome them is near at hand.
Adventures continue for the next generation of our Near Future series. Having successfully managed an escape from Earth using their new hyperdrive, our group of young people must find their way through interstellar space to meet their friends from the Far, Far Future. If that's not bad enough, they have to undertake a seemingly impossible mission to recover missing parts stolen by the group of rebels that have fled to yet another world. Of course, they’re going to be many obstacles in their way, and their journeys will take them places they could never have imagined.
This series is intended to be a light and fun read, and I hope this book continues that tradition. Yet life is not without conflict, and as usual our characters must overcome obstacles and face the emotions such conflicts generate. We also get to meet new characters from the Far, Far Future, some good and some bad, and some that will stay with us while others we will be glad to see go.BOOKS BY RANDAL SLOANNear Future Series - First Arc Near Future Book 1: Awakening Near Future Book 2: Aspirations Near Future Book 3: Ascendancy Near Future Book 4: Juliette’s Space Race Near Future Book 5: Origins Near Future Book 6: Alternate - Box Set 1

I am the author of a near future Sci-Fi thriller book series that speculates at just what might be possible in a few years. Years ago when I started university studies, I was in a physics program, ready to split the atom and study the wonders of our awesome universe. But alas, I wound up in engineering for more practical reasons, paying the bills. From there I moved on to computers and software development, but I have always tried to keep up with scientific developments and space exploration. Some of those ideas that just may be possible led to the books you are seeing.
I have over the last few years tried a number of interesting things, such as writing an iPhone app, trading stock options, and building a therapy pool at my home, but now I have returned to my first love - writing, something I started in the fourth grade of elementary school. Although that book never made it past my handwritten pages, due to the power of self-publishing suddenly it's possible to share some of my joy of writing with you.
So far I have two books in my Near Future Series and more books currently in the works in the same near future. I have other possible futures envisioned I think you might like. So join in with me as I envision the future. I hope you have as much fun with it as I do!!

The team is back, and still rescuing folks formally over space and time.as much as I enjoy this series, it's the " Space Cat" named storm that gets all the cuddles. I suspect we will eventually discover he is more than just lovable, but has his own story and inventions.
The series is getting better as it develops. The Author is getting better at staying away from the superhero stuff and teen romance and more into the tech and science.
