Smuggling is supposed to be the kind of job where you're in, you're out, and no one ever knew you were there.
Simple. Boring, even.
But that's only when you're doing it right.
Unfortunately, Avery and the rest of the crew of the Kingfisher have hit a snag, one in the form of a strange woman living in a hallway ceiling at Installation 23.
In this four book box set the crew will be put to the test, but if they're quick and they're smart they may just come out the other side.
What do you do if you want to reform someone who thinks they are unreformable? This is a set of four books in one volume, the style is a little outside of what I usually read. I did enjoy this the personal interplay between the muscle man, the computer wiz, the the boy who travel with each other not quite on the wrong side of the law but not really on the right side.
I am enjoying these stories very much. The human-ness, the awareness, as well as the unawareness, make this so much more than an adventure story. I see myself in characters I never expected to reflect me. I carry the stories in the back of my mind long after leaving the book on the table. Looking forward to further adventures with these now beloved characters.
