A slightly odd book with all the usual flaws of English-Irish textbook translation, most pertinently a reliance on neologism and stubborn, self-defeating, refusal to shortlist equivalent English terms, in this case bird names. Slightly loose also in what it covers and doesn't cover (e.g. no corncrake) but that might again be reflective of its origins as an England-focused title. Would be much more useful as a reference book if these slight issues were addressed.
