Can stepping out of your comfort zone lead to love?

Roark
After yet another failed date, I’m exhausted and telling myself it’s time to take a break. That is until my best friend suggests it’s not dating that’s the problem but the guys I’m going on them with. Limiting myself to only one type hasn’t found me the love of my life yet, so maybe I need to look elsewhere to find him. Deciding to give it one more shot, I download an app that’s unlike any I’ve ever been on before, and I soon find myself swiping on someone who unleashes wants inside me I never knew existed.

Cassius
After experiencing heartbreak, I keep my guard up and stay as far away from dating as possible because I never want to feel that kind of pain again. At the encouragement of my best friend, who only wants to see me happy, I download an app but barely pay it any attention. That is until I match with someone who starts breaking down my walls with each message sent, and I find myself looking forward to our chats and hopefully more. Even if it means setting myself up for possible heartbreak.

When we finally meet, the attraction is instant, and hidden desires are brought to the surface that are just begging to be explored. Eager to give them a try, a whole new world opens for us that has us delving into parts of ourselves we’ve kept buried too long and that teaches us to give love and trust a chance. But will the bond we build be strong enough to withstand anything?

Squeeze Me is a low angst, low heat story that is part of a MM Daddy romance multi-author series, featuring a host of delicious Daddy pairings. The Bears-4-U dating app is all about putting Bears and Teddy Bears together for their honey-sweet HEAs. Psst, no real bears involved. Each book can be read as a standalone, but why not snuggle up with all the bears?

Roark had had enough of dating until a friend suggests it isn't dating itself that always turns out wrong, it's the type of guys he goes for and suggests that he change to something else. What he suggests is an app called Bear-4U. He's a bit skeptical but he downloads the app and gives it a try, finally swiping on someone who unleashes something he's never felt before.

He's swiped on Cassius profile. Cassius isn't without dating problems of his own. He has recently experienced heartbreak, so he keeps his guard up, but his best friend is having none of that and encourages him to try the Bears 4-U app. He downloads it and then doesn't pay any attention to it.... Until... he matches with someone who starts to break down his walls as they begin to chat more and more. He actually begins to look forward to those chats.

When they meet its instant attraction and they both start to learn to trust and love again, but will the bond they build be strong enough to withstand anything? By this time the reader has fingers and toes crossed for them to find their happiness. It was nice the way that their relationship started out slowly with just messages and getting to know one another before they met in real life. Their first date was a picnic and then it moved onto something more physical and also kind of goes down the "instalove" route... but that was okay, and the story was still believable, not to mention that by now I really, really wanted those two together.

There were some great side characters also...like Roark's best friend and Cassius's mother and numerous other little bits and pieces that enhanced the depth of the story. it was easy to read and easy to feel for the two main characters and to understand where they had come from and what they were wanting for each other.

I liked the way that their relationship started slowly with messages and getting to know each other before they met in real life and then moved onto something more physical (often this kind of book goes down the instalove route which can be too fast). I loved the involvement of Roark's mother and the other little bits that enhanced the depth of the story. Easy to read, feel and understand. This MM story contains mature content and is a BSDM-like DDLB relationship.

A super sweet story of two guys who've sworn off men and who've never done the daddy/boy thing before trying a new app at the urging of their friends for bears and voila. They start chatting on-line and when they finally meet up they hit it off and just take time getting to know each other. There are a fair number of friends with talk about their relationships, but it was fine and very little conflict. I did find at time there were descriptions of things that didn't seem relevant. A description of where Cassius parked his car and how busy the parking lot was and that he paid extra for a spot. Okay. So what? It just seemed a bit superfluous. But you have to be in the mood for a high dose of sugary sweetness with this one.

Squeeze Me was a sweet, low angst, mildly kinky read without a lot of what you typically see in Daddy/boy pairings - no age gap, no age play, no strict rules... but it was a sweet story both because of this and despite it.

I really loved that both characters were stumbling into their roles and just exploring a few kinks that turned them on - I would have liked to see a little bit more exploration of some of the kinks mentioned early on... and maybe some more discussion of the ones that they actually explored... honestly, my only complaint about this story is I want more... more cuddles, more kink, more exploration and more time with Roark and Cassius.

No. Please at least research Daddy kink before trying to write one. Someone doesn't just go from having no inclination towards Daddy kink at all to calling someone boy and having said boy, who also had no inclination towards Daddy kink, be all Sir and Daddy on the first date. Cringe. Apart from that, there is entirely too much detail about mundane things. I don't need every single step of someone making breakfast, or their routine after a workday. I kept skimming just to get to the actual story. I was trying to hold out for them getting together but the Daddy kink intro was so ridic, I had to bail.

An out of your comfort zone dating app. Can it lead you both to love?

What an adorable, charming, sexy book! Cassius and Roark are so well written they felt like old friends. The supporting characters are vivid as well. From the initial contact on the app to a fantastic picnic, to sexy times and family dinners, this book has it all. The Daddy/ boy dy namic is just right. And yes. Love does find a way. Look for a delightful cookie bake, so yummy. HEA is assured. You are simply gonna love this book!

Everything is described in excruciating detail. From the amount of tomatoes on the MC's sandwich to the inane phone conversations that brought nothing to the plot or to character building. Every message the MC's exchanged in the Bears-4-U app. And don't get me started on how stupid and cringe-y the app was and how contrived were the turns that got the MC's to create a profile for it. It's like the theme (the app) came first and then the characters were crammed into it. Two stars because this wasn't bad, just stupid and boring.

If you are looking for a Daddy/boy story that is sweet with low angst, this is it. Roark and Cassius have had no luck at all in their dating lives. So at the suggestion of their friends, they download an app where the two meet. Their story is sweet, cute, just the right amount of tension, and so adorably cute.

Sweet romance!

What a sweet romance between two men afraid to fall in love again. Two best friends guide them to the bears-4-u app where they hesitantly build their profiles. Slowly but surely Cash and Roark chat, meet, and fall together into a forever kind of love. A great first read for me and this author!

OMG I loved this so much!

There are so many things I love about this book. The best thing is the slow build. As they get to know each other we get to know more about them. I have to say that Travis and Mindy rock as best friends. I’m so glad for them too. From the characters to their environment to their story this was one heck of a read.

Nice story. Stepping out of you comfort zone and trying something new is not easy for the ma's of the story. But when they do there is fire between them! Read to feel the heat!

Time for a new approach, right?

Regular apps haven’t worked well for Roark and Cassius. The Bears-4-U app provides a different approach. Enjoy Cassius and Roark as they overcome old hurts and discover new roles leading to many steamy moments!!!

I’m sure this might go someplace mildly adorable, but this author doesn’t understand physics, and that is … problematic.

But it was his kinks that had my eyebrows rising since they were pretty much exactly what I’d chosen for mine. Soon, images of his ass turning red from my hand filled my mind, and I had to get that under control. Otherwise, my cock would cause my pants to tent and send my plate of microwaved food flying to the floor.

I am sorry, but it doesn’t work that way. Someone wearing pants, with a frozen dinner tray in his lap, is not in danger of having a sudden erection cause his food to fly onto the floor. (Also, that is cheesy alliteration.). Like, if his penis is that close to the hot tray where one has to worry about its changing shape causing a spill, one imagines he’s much more in danger of burning his dick than anything else.

Like, anyone who has ever had an erection could have told Ms Cournoyer just how absurd this is. But since they apparently didn’t, I will. This is absurd. Penises do not work like that. Thank you.
