Just finished Genesis!!
The first book of the Bible
The first book of the Pentateuch
The first book of the Old Testament
I'm so happy to have finished it. This is the start of my Bible journey, Yeppppy

– “Genesis” means “beginning” — and that’s exactly what the book is about
– It covers the creation of the world
– Genesis is FULL of DRAMA and... (of course, faith, failure, and hope)

What I learned and loved:
– Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden (don’t eat the fruit, guys :))
– Then the story of Noah and the flood
Abraham (I’ve heard his name everywhere, but now I actually understand what he did)
→ Isaac (Dude almost got killed by his own father)
→ Jacob (Literally tricked his way through life and still got blessed)
→ Joseph (Dream interpreter — and got sold by his own brothers)
(Joseph doesn’t get mentioned as much, but his story is amazing!)
– How Joseph loved Rachel and freaking working 21 yrs fo her
Not to mention, these people were having babies with everyone!!!!
Half the time I was reading about their lineage, ya it was long
This family is full of drama, and most of them lived for about 150 years.

What surprised me:
Genesis is full of stories. I’ve read a lot of the New Testament before, and that’s full of teachings, lessons, and parables — which I also love. But Genesis feels like an epic story collection. I didn’t expect that, and I absolutely loved it.

Now starting Exodus...
So I’ve just started reading Exodus. And look — we all know the story of Moses. The burning bush, the plagues, the Red Sea, the big “Let my people go” moment... it’s iconic. I’m not trying to skip anything, but I am skipping ahead a bit so I can get straight to when the Israelites are finally saved and on their journey. Basically, I’m skipping Moses’ whole main character moment — respectfully.

Five stars.
I recommend it to everyone.
I’m going to keep reading the rest of the Bible — one book at a time.

13th house of the zodiac - the red serpent .. but it was somewhat disturbing to see the full colour beautifully crafted receptacle for the severed male member associated with these rituals ..

Genesis is a great story. Its the first book in the Bible and its full of amazing stories. Its all about new beginnings, like the creation of the world, the first humans on earth, and even the first family drama. There are a lot of things that happen in this book that are great to read. Id recommend this book to people who like interesting stories that could go in any direction at any time.

This is on my list as a placeholder for a new short story I read for a fellow writer.
