Vinegar is inexpensive, safe and 100 percent natural, and nearly every household has a bottle tucked away somewhere, but few people ever take advantage of its full potential. Yes, it's great for dying Easter eggs and making salad dressing, but there's so much more it can do. In Vim & Vinegar, Melodie Moore tells all. Here are hundreds of tips to help readers tenderize meats, soup up soups, eradicate odor, firm fish fillets, cut grease, ease arthritis, cure cramps and more. Versatile vinegar also does wonders for flavoring food (plus, it has no fat or calories), and readers will be amazed at the range of tasty recipes, which include such treats as Vinegar Pie, Crazy Cake and Vinegar Hard Candy. For tightwads, environmental activists, health advocates and curious cooks -- in fact, anyone who appreciates good old American ingenuity -- Vim & Vinegar is the perfect book.

Once you start reading this book, you won't be able to put it down because you'll be amazed at what vinegar can do! I've already started using it and have given a copy to a girlfriend who is vegan and earth friendly and she loves it! There are even recipes for cooking with vinegar and making your own vinegar. I appreciate that the author tells you which type of vinegar to use, also. Very good read!

I've drifted into this new enthusiasm for doing more things myself in our home. It saves money! It's not that hard! And it's such a relief to not worry about the chemicals and the baby! With this new mood of mine, it's no surprise that I've developed a huge respect for vinegar. It's like the all-purpose superhero of homemaking. Wow.

My grandmother always used vinegar in unexpected places, so I knew of its potential. I definitely got some tips from the book: natural ant and weed killer, natural drain declogger... Fingers crossed that they work!

Good book, filled with interesting ideas for using vinegar. Lots I have heard, lots I haven't. I think the book would have been great but I noticed several duplicates. Also, I've tried some of the entries with poor results.

A book that I have joking called our family bible. Interesting uses of vinegar that cuts out many of the harmful cleaning products we use every day.
