Seth Brown can’t complain too much about working as a stocker and assistant toy doctor at Turner’s Toys, a high-end toy store in a wealthy neighborhood.

Sure, the pay could be better–and he could stand if the customers yelled less, but at least he’s normally out of sight, doing inventory or fixing toys. That’s especially a relief during the holiday season, when tempers are high and stress is in the air.

Seth is in the middle of one such toy repair when he meets Clark, a handsome, wealthy older man who seems to like that Seth is polite, good with his hands, and eager to please.

When Clark asks Seth for a little after-hours toy assistance, Seth agrees, unable to help how he’s drawn to the man’s commanding presence.
But Clark appears to have something else that he wants from Seth…

Quick and smutty, with a light dub-con vibe to it, His New Toy was a great palate cleanser in between reads.

I’m very intrigued by Seth and Clark’s story, so I’ll definitely have to check out more of this series.

Read this entire series in like 2 hours. Wanted more, but alas, books have to end. Still, I really loved the sweet vibe of this. I kept expected it to get dark or something, but it stayed sweet and because we only get Seth's POV it kept me on my toes the entire time. I was like....the fuck is this Daddy doing right now? What's his game? All suspicious and shit.

An easy read full of sweet fun and adorable scenes.

I, much to my surprise, really enjoyed this. I mostly picked it up after being told about the Dove scale. Of course, I didn’t read the blurb (what’s new, pussy cat?).

I enjoyed the writing. I liked the praise and the begging. I liked the slightly ominous air given off by Clark, and Seth’s trepidation. I loved the “pretty”s and the “sweetheart”s. On to the next one!

Short and Sweet Starter

This is a short start to a D/s series in which Seth is asked by a hot older suited guy to help him assemble a toy for a child at his home.
Clark is handsome, rich and dominant.
Seth is kind of sweet, confused and naturally submissive.
It ends on a light hook, with a hint of what might happen next and some light intimacy.

Seth is such a cutie pie and Clark is a wet dream tbh. Love it. Now lemme go reread the collection again.

Not what I was expecting given the series name. Seth works at a high end toy store and Clark comes in to buy a gift for his granddaughter. Seth suggests a mini trampoline and Clark talks Seth in to coming over to his house on his day off to assemble it.

When Seth is finished with the trampoline it’s snowing outside and Clark refuses to have Seth walk to the bus stop in that weather. Clark offers one of his guest rooms for Seth to sleep in and offers to see that he gets to work on time the next day. The men have a nice dinner and seemingly easy conversation.

Seth can’t sleep so he goes to get water and when he turns to return to his room he is ‘trapped’ against the kitchen island by Clark who easily seduces Seth with a hand job.

Quick and Sweet

There was a storm last night that had me up at 4am, so I decided to read this and I finished it in less than an hour - it's only 40-ish pages long. It's hard to rate this as a book since it's so short, but if it were a fanfic I'd say I really enjoyed it. It's on the lighter side of a taboo romance (kind of coercive, but they also ask for consent). But yeah, as a little kinky sex scene it's fun. Just didn't really get much of an understanding of Clark's character, but that was probably by design.

The only complaints I have are that I feel like this series could have been a single book or even just 2 books and that because of the spacing between books the storyline took a bit longer to progress.
