This covers a brief history of ballet and the main role within ballet. It was quite interesting.

I had this book when I was little but cut pictures out of it for a ballet project. It's such a joy to be able to get another copy and in very good condition. As with all the educational Ladybird books this ballet book is packed with information and the illustrations are exquisite. Such a beautiful book more than equal to similar ballet books of today.

Me gustó mucho, breve y accesible historia sobre el ballet dirigido a los niños pero útil para cualquier edad.

Informative, and charming illustrations by Martin Aitchison. I particularly liked the teacups on top of the accompanist’s piano in rehearsals, and the conductor wiping his brow with his handkerchief. Not big on ballet myself, gave up lessons when I hit puppy-fat stage, but I’m sure junior aficionados would like this if you spot it in a charity shop or jumble sale!
