Being a schoolmarm in 1886 means looking the part. Evelyn knows that well and has never deviated from the path of the strict and somber.
Until she walked into a supply closet and saw her new employer consorting with his lover. But it was hard to condemn the lovers when her heart raced and her body breathed to life like it never had before.
Brenton Ashton should have left his little schoolmarm in chaste peace but the innocent curiosity of her sensuous gaze told him she didn't want that. No, burning right there was desire that the right man could unleash and he just couldn't stop thinking about being the man to set her free.
All love begins as lust. When human nature is aroused, the fire never dies, it only recedes until the right tinder is applied. When Brenton takes over her "education", Evelyn discovers that the improper lessons are far better than any she has ever received. Behind locked doors, lust mingles with love and only pleasure matters. But more is at stake than either initially realize.
Note: This tale features scenes of ménage a trois, shared partners, spanking, and voyeurism. Not for the faint at heart, but definitely for those who want to raise their heartrate!

Unbelievable. The story moves too fast for credibility. A black man in the 1800s having threesomes and moresomes with genteel white women? Check your brain at the door when you read these two short stories. The two stories connected. There's no plot, no character development. It's sex, more sex, group sex. .
On page one, "Even in 1886 a colored man drew attention from the upper-crust of Boston society."
And then on page two, "The workers lived in dormitories provided by the Spencer estate. That was not uncommon in 1886."
Which brings us to page three, "Reputation was everything in the society of 1886."
Y'know, I very well could be mistaken...but I think maybe this book is set in...1886? Honestly, beating you over the head with the time period is the least of this book's problems. The massive over explanations just don't stop, and the writing becomes more and more florid as the book progresses. Above and beyond the utterly preposterous storyline, the attempt at 19th century (1886!) dialog was frankly so ridiculous and over the top that it was almost comical. Interestingly, it seems the author gives up on the historical speech entirely when it comes to the sex scenes. The result is sort of a mash-up of a Victorian parody and 1970s porn.
I really liked this story. I read the synopsis a long time ago and finally found it again. It is not often you find a wealthy black man in a historical story. M/F/M
