First edition. A guide to recognition and identification of the meaning of type. Uncommon title. Some chipping of jacket. 119+ 1 pages. half cloth over boards, dust jacket.. 8vo..
To a historian seeking primary documentation of how the beginnings of the digital type era were being perceived by users, this book might have merit as a found document. As an intentional, authorial work—ostensibly an introductory textbook—it is staggeringly incomprehensible, frequently failing to meet even basic standards of grammar, much less offer lucid explanations.
a pretty succinct historical retelling of the chronology of typeface design with examples! (not bad, but it seems like people didn't enjoy reading this...)
