Men everywhere are under attack-your neighbor, your coworker, your pastor, even your husband. And, even in Christian homes, 40% of men have fallen to this foe that can destroy marriages and ruin lives.Who is this devastating adversary? Pornography. It floods our airwaves and PCs, assaulting the senses, and luring its prey to return again and again.Drawing from seventeen years of counseling practice, and using material that he's taught for more than ten years, Joe Dallas is helping readers face this enemy. Equipping those who have been caught up in pornography or other forms of sexual sin with the ability to abandon that behavior and never return.Using the acronym ROUTE-Repentance, Order, Understanding, Training, and Endurance-Dallas walks readers through the steps necessary to attain-and maintain-sexual integrity."No one understands this subject better than Joe Dallas. A resource no man should be without!" --Hank Hanegraaff, president of the Christian Research Institute and host of the Bible Answer Man broadcast"Joe Dallas has written a practical handbook for men who want to get serious about their purity. I'm a Christian author, husband and father of two, married to my lovely wife Renee since 1987. We fellowship at Newport Mesa Church in Orange County, CA, and I run a ministry in Tustin, CA, called Genesis Counseling. Most of my writing has focused on sexual issues from a conservative Christian perspective, and since 1987, I've been honored to work with men who want to resolve conflicts between their sexual behavior and their relationship with Christ.

It helped me, thank God

I thought I had everything figured out. Then I fell. I thought my life as I knew it was over. I was right, but for the better. Through working through this book I reestablished my relationship with God. My personal relationships are getting better.

This was an honest and helpful book. Every Christian man should own it. If you haven't struggled with sexual sin (be honest!), you know someone who is currently struggling with it, whether they admit it or not. Joe Dallas is frank about his sexual failings, but God has used him in a wonderful way to help others repent and turn from their sexual sin. He encourages us to be honest about our struggles and reach out to other men. Broken sexual relationships are part of our broken relationship with God. One reason so many men struggle for so long with sex is that they keep it a secret. But, "lone rangers are dead rangers," as Josh Harris says so well in his book on the same topic. We need to ask each other hard questions, and take a hard look at ourselves. Lust is like cancer--it grows and is never content. Dallas recognizes that, and so he moves beyond sexual issues to talk about spiritual issues. Christ is the great Healer, and he came to heal our sexuality. He wants all of us, not just our pure little souls. He is the Bridegroom. Joe Dallas's book will help any man to pursue purity in preparation for the great wedding feast of the Lamb (Rev. 21).
