Thomas wakes up and finds that his whistle is broken. On his way to the mechanic, he encounters many of his friends who are in need of a helping hand. Thomas, trying to put off going to the mechanic, willingly assists each of his friends. Finally, Thomas gets to the mechanic and realizes that there was nothing to fear.
This is a typical Thomas book, but my son likes to push the buttons which get in the way of the reading. There is one neat button which asks questions related to the story and the child has to push the answer.
This book talks down to you...really crappy feeling. Thank God for the sound effects. Oh and don't try to answer the questions...he does not know what is going on!
