There is a fair amount of overlap between this book and Mahafza's MATLAB Simulations for Radar Systems Design. For the most part, the MATLAB simulations in his other text tip the scales in its favor; however, there is a great derivation of the Doppler shift in this book. Mahafza very clearly explains why there is a factor of 2 difference in the Doppler shift between radar and remote sensing applications.
