Fantastic Book!

This was an absolutely fantastic book! At first, I was unsure if its relevance to my life (just a thing of personal situations I face, not a reflection on the book itself), but I gained so much from it! I will definitely reference it in the future!

the lady doth protest too much. There's a reason she keeps mentioning that people "misinterpret" her as being superior.

I found the book very good understandable.
I found a lot theoretical and practical advices for a good leading of my life and another people.
Linette helped me to organize my plan for the future by finding my vision and mission and purpose statement of my life.
She showed me how important is a good leader ship and communication skills.
She encouraged me as a woman and pushed me to find the way how to improve my communication, public speaking.
She showed me nice techniques how to be more successful and patient on the way to the successes.

Now is the time for step-by-step improvement!

I can relate to Lynette's message. I felt like she was speaking directly to me. I have had the opportunity to speak with Lynette and feel she is an geniune as the book. I love the concept of "being whole"; it explained a lot about the women I encounter everyday and gave me something to strive for as I move through my career and interactions with other women (even men). I recommend reading this book.

Definitely a power-up for women, this book encourages both men and women alike to hustle while waiting for God's best. Indeed, most of the time we cannot just let things happen, but we need to make things happen, not in a rebellious, self-sufficient way, but in a wise view of the opportunities and open doors that God has set up for us to discover and open.

A fun quick read for women looking to reaffirm and reorient their personal and professional goals. Sometimes a bit schmalzy as well as a bit victimizing of women in the workplace, but the later chapters on building a personal board and establishing good mentors are particularly useful.

This is written by the wife of one of the pastors at my church - it's loaded with practical tips for women in how to grow in your career. Lynette also has a wonderful blog and if you have the opportunity to hear her speak, it's definitely worth it!

This is a terrific book. It focuses on women's leadership but it holds great lessons for all. I loved Lewis' ending paragraph, "You are a gift to the world. So put on whatever shoes make you feel beautiful. We are in this climb together, cheering one another on each step of the way."
