Forsaking the King is the next book in this series that follows Giselle and Carlo❣️Everything comes to a head at the end of the last book and many revelations discovered😢
I don’t want to say much more as it would just be spoilers…which I dislike but suffice to say this book is a journey for Giselle with some glimpses of Nick and Eve😁
I’m excited to see what Jessa has planned for the next book *rubs hands together with an evil cackle*😈 I received an advanced copy and voluntarily leave my honest review❤️
So heartbreaking for Giselle when she was confronted by two men she had serious feelings for. Her pride is her worst enemy right now though keeping her from speaking up. I'm really not a fan of either Carlo and Stefan at this point, how could they have been so sweet before and so mean now, not even a little compassion showing through.
Based on the cliffhanger, there's lots more to come!
OMG Jessa York!!!! This series just keeps getting better and better with each book and I'm extremely grateful to be able to read them and review them. Giselle sort of annoyed me on this one and now I definitely hate Stefan but honestly "both men in bed" dreams, they do sound hot and now I do want them to really happen. Also, Carlo doesn't surprise me anymore that man is just a hot asshole rn. The tension of the beginning threw me off a little because I wasn't expecting it since I read the last book a while ago but this one is amazing. It's honestly very entertaining and for reality show and drama lovers, I'd recommend this series 100%.

Still an engaging read, but starting to get antsy on a few points: Spoilers below....
We all know she's going to have both of them at some point, and they've shared Eve, so WTF is the problem here? Also the drip of what she's running from is getting super annoying. At this point I just want things to happen already.

I understand that the brothers were mad at Giselle for what she knowingly did. However, this does not excuse their actions especially Stefan’s. He even had thoughts about sharing, but my gosh… Finding out when it wasn’t on his own terms really took a hit on his ego. Wonder what will happen.
I don’t know what to say about this book other than it must be setting up what to expect for the next book. It’s almost unforgettable. I’ll start it now to see if I’m right.
"Forsaking the King" (The Sovrano Crime Family Book 3) by Jessa York was a fantastic read. I loved this latest addition to Giselle's story. This story had drama, passion, close friends, billionaires, entertaining characters, and more. This was a terrific addition to this series. I'm anxious to see what happens next. Highly recommend it to all fans of romance, billionaires, and series.
I really enjoyed this book and was intrigued from the beginning. This is a new author to me so I have not read the previous crime series. Although I loved it I was disappointed that the books are so short and they all end on a cliffhanger. Prior to starting the series, I read they are standalones and from that I thought each book was about a different character, which this is not. The books also end on cliffhangers. I don't mind cliffhangers if we are warned about them (I tend to then wait until the last book in the series is out and then binge read them all at once). I still have books 5 & 6 to read and unfortunately I think I read that that is not the last book!! I hope I'm wrong! I also don't see the point in having so many books in what is meant to be a series when we are only getting parts of the story? I enjoy mafia books but to me this doesn't seem like a mafia business the men are in, all you hear is how powerful and rich they are but no insight into their business, which to me makes a mafia story. Due to my above comments I have rated it lower than I normally would, 3 1/2 stars. So if you haven't started this series - they are all short stories about the same couple and all end on a cliffhanger (as previously said I haven't read books 5 & 6 yet). Enjoy as they are very good and I also LOVE reading love triangles which this also has!
I do not think I have ever been as upset and angry as I was reading Forsaking the King. My heart broke for Giselle but at the same time, I also felt that she was going to be her worse enemy. When her secret came out, the man that she loved and the one that she felt safe with, were not the men that she thought they were. Although she was belittled and treated like garbage, she stood her ground and fought back. Through tough times, worrying about her friend Eve, and dealing with her own heartbreak and loneliness, Giselle had to be the strong woman that I knew was inside of her. So many times I wanted her to tell Nick what was happening but she didn't want him or Eve to look at her differently. Will her heart ever be pieced back together? Can the pain and hurt that she feels ever go away? Will her heart ever find love again? The end of this book gave us a twist that I was not expecting, but how do you say no to your best friend. I have questions that I hope will be answered in the next installment.
Giselle is the sole occupant of the Heartbreak Express right about now. And the cruelty dealt to her by two men who should do better is enough to shatter a person. But eventually, Giselle is ready to fight back. And boy, does she. She’s tired and beaten down and a little broken, but she’s not weak. She’s not going to continue to take the abuse. Nor should she, especially when we know the kind of things these men were up to before meeting her. And maybe while knowing her. But that doesn’t change the misery and depression that drip from the pages of this installment. I wonder though…where do we go from here? One, both, none? And what’ll happen when the past that I’m pretty sure is awful collides with the present? Carlo and Stefan both have some groveling and listening to do, and I can’t wait for it. I just hope it’s not too late once they catch a clue….
Oh my! Giselle's two lives meet face to face at the end of Book 2 and it wasn't pretty! At her best friend's wedding, no less! Now instead of worrying about who to choose, she has their emotions to deal with and doubts if she will have either of them! Also there is a bigger crisis to deal with than her love life at the wedding!
I felt so bad for Giselle, I cried for and with her. Her pride made me mad with how she handled things. I think if she told the truth, things might have gone better! I just want Giselle and sweet Dani to get their Happily Ever After. Now on to Book 4! Immediately!
I went through heartbreak for Giselle and how she was treated by both Carlo and Stefan in this 3rd installment and not sure it will become whole by the end of this series. Giselle is just doing what she needs to live without any help, but man do the tides turn in this one.
I know there will be more and more to their story but man, serve my heart on a platter after being blended up! And in true Jessa York fashion, that cliffhanger was me wanting to try and swipe left for more, but NO have to wait for the next installment. I am in vested in this couple just as I was with Nick and Eve. I mean they have to eventually get their HEA right???
So emotional!! Giselle has been “caught” dating both brothers. To be fair, one had already cast her aside. The treatment she receives from there is a little tough to take, as we know the story behind her actions.
Danger intrudes, and Giselle helps neighbors Eve and Nick take care of Eve’s siblings. Unfortunately Carlo and Stefan are there for protection. Can you say awkward?
Nick finally realizes how Giselle is being treated and we end with another climatic ending - making the next story super critical!!
***** I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book *****
Let me take you to 03:00 on the first day (or night, lol) of January. There was still a lot of fireworks outside and I thought "You know what? I can't sleep so just let me check out that ebook I got with the last Stuff your Kindle (or in my case Kobo) day." It is now the third of January and I just finished book 8.
Did I regret getting almost no sleep these past days? No I did not.
Why, you ask?
Because this I haven't enjoyed a bookseries so much as I love this one in a very long time. Like it has "fanfic telenovela level" drama (which is a very good thing) but is also written well. I enjoy it so, so much.
Forsaking the King is book three in the Sovrano Crime Series and boy have there been some heartbreaking scenes and plenty of revelations. This is for sure emotional overload and I couldn't get enough! I am pretty pissed at the reactions from Carlo and Stefan to some of these revelations especially after what they were up to in the Rosetti series while Giselle was already in the background. Tht Cliffy just about killed me, and I can tell we are getting closer to this story coming to a head in one of the next installments. The suspense is killing me! I need book four now!
OMG!! Jessa York has done it again! I was drawn back into Giselle’s story immediately as if I had never stopped reading from Book 2. We pick up right where Book 2 left off. Jessa’s writing makes me FEEL. There are certain characters I LOVE, and other I hate (you’ll see who when you read). There’s a bit more of a connection to the Rossetti Series story, so if you haven’t read that yet, you may want to or else there will be a bit of a spoiler in this book. I am seriously loving this character arc throughout this series. Giselle is a badass mama and I can’t wait to see where her story ends!
Forsaking the King picks up right where book two left off and it leaves everyone with a broken heart. As much as I love the guys the words they spewed at Giselle made me so mad for her. She deserved their hurt and anger for lying, but they were so harsh towards her. There was a lot more of Nick and Eve in this one as most of this book overlaps with part of their story. I have no idea how Giselle is going to mend a relationship with either of these men, but I can't wait to find out what happens!!
This is the third book in this series. The book starts off with Giselle, Carlo, and Stefan having a showdown before Nick and Eve’s wedding. This book is intense as Giselle has to deal with the two men she has feelings for both finding out her secrets and being hurtful to her because of them. This also takes place when Eve had been kidnapped (read in Eve and Nick’s series) so Giselle is dealing with her best friend missing. The drama in this story makes it impossible to put down.
This book picks up right where book 2 left off, and Giselle is absolutely put through the ringer by the brothers. My heart breaks for her, and their treatment of her is absolutely appalling.
We're left with yet another cliffhanger, and hope that maybe, just maybe, these two men will turn their attitudes around and Giselle will get the happy ending soon that she deserves.
*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.*
Oh Giselle… I feel for her…. In Forsaking the King… things all come out with Stefan and Carlo. There are things that happen with Eve and Nick and Giselle is there for them. She’s just doing her best with Evie while taking on life alone…. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book! The ending wants me wanting the next book now!
This is Book 3 of Giselle’s story. I’ve been waiting a long time to read it and it was over too soon! Giselle is sweet and kind and what happened to her made me cry! Also, how come Eve be so not lucky!! Oh God, I was so mad!! I was yelling at the author while reading! Anyway, I like Giselle and she should get a HEA. Now, I’m impatiently waiting for the next book.
Forsaking the King is the third book in The Sovrano Crime Family series, and continues Giselle's story, but with a very angry Carlo and Stefan. As heartbreaking some of the story was I loved the scenes with Nick and Eve showing just how much they love Giselle. I can't wait so see what happen, I look forward to reading book four.
Giselle and Carlo's story continues. Once the truth comes out about Giselle she is constantly being humiliated and degraded by Carlo and Stefan. This book is full of so many emotions. Despite how they treat her she still has feelings for Carlo and Stefan. Nick is so sweet, caring and so hot and sexy. Hoping Giselle gets back with Carlo.
