WHAT IF . . . you were marooned on an iceberg the size of Manhattan with a species that evolved to prey on the Earth's largest predators? Rica Lopez was one of the first women Marines allowed in combat. She never expected to find herself in command of a billion-dollar covert mission gone awry. Sluggish one dimensional plot full of dull characters that did not spark this reader's interest. Book promised parallels to a Crichton novel but alas, not so. Avoid!

This is one of my favorite pulp fiction books. It's got its issues, and it won't win any prizes for writing, but it's a fun read. When you need something that's a little scary, had unexpected bad guys and is a page turner, this is your book.

Thriller - author alot like Matthew Reilly - a little far-fetched but good.
