A nice, breezy, introduction to the largest antlered mammal. Despite their ungainly size, they are are fairly agile and can run fast, and are able to evade grizzly bears and wolves with their speed. They are solitary creatures, only congregating in mating season.
The book is a very good educational/nature style book about the moose. There are plenty of pictures (just black and white) within the book to give you an insight into the life of the moose from season to season and from baby to adult.
This is a very good read although it may seem like a small book I wouldn't recommend this to very young children as a starter book. The writing is small and there is lots of words per page. The only other thing I found awkward about the book is its size since the book is normally bigger than other books of its kind.
