This book is dated (probably ALL books on DSLR video get dated before they hit the shelves) but nonetheless gives simple practical advice using most types of video cameras.

The overviews are pretty basic, though, and this book assumes you are using very consumer-oriented automated cameras. But if you don't know anything about capturing clean audio, or color correcting and framing raw footage, then take a look.

So far this book has been a good guide to basic videography.
