The book basically told me to call an expert to fix anything wrong with my house. I also learned that water is bad because it can cause mold, rot, and termites. That theme was repeated over and over again in the book ad nauseum.

In fairness, the author clearly states that this is not for do-it-yourself type people. Finding problems was covered in the book (not that thoroughly), but the title of the book implies that there would be some help in learning how to fix problems. This is misleading. Unfortunately, this book was not very helpful for me. Even the photos were black-and-white and at times unclear.

I would recommend anyone interested in this subject to just search the internet.
