3.5. Stars. It's a pretty fascinating story or rather collection of essays that tell a story. You get a really good sense then the author is both a practicing planner but also a critic of the impact the build environment can have on people places and things. The social commentary is not over the top and the writing is always interesting. I think if I had read this 30 years ago it might have been more relevant and ranked a clean 4.
