About the author

Victoria Pade is the bestselling author of numerous contemporary romances, six historical romances and two mystery novels. She began her writing career after leaving college to have her first daughter. That daughter was seven years old and there was a second daughter, before Victoria had her first book accepted for publication. That novel and the three that followed it were historical romances. But the exit of her husband and the urge to do more contemporary writing that explored the kinds of problems she was facing inspired a switch.

Willow has a secret pregnancy, kept from her brothers and other family. She had gone to Tulsa to be with a friend and went a little wild at the friend's encouragement.....
Tyler Chadwick, a former rodeo rider, moves to Broken Arrow. He is looking for a mystery woman, who was on his mind and preoccupied during his last ride. Willow recognizes him when he comes into the feed store, but he does not recognize her. She makes the decision to not tell him that she knows him from Tulsa, that they spent the night, that she is pregnant..... rather that he should get to know her for her, and not just the uninhibited mystery woman he does not remember.

So they get to be friends, to be dating, the youngest girl dealing with four older over-protective brothers, and then, they get engaged.

Intersecting with the love story, Willow searched through Grandma Gloria's room, and found papers indicating they are the legitimate heirs. Someone is trying to prevent them from claiming their inheritance, including breaking into Willow's apartment and threatening her. Tyler rescued her, and the man was apprehended. Rand Colton was notified and Joe is looking into it, including talking with his brother Graham - the now-illegitimate children of Teddy Colton.

It's a very very low 3 stars. I did not vibe with Willow at all and she annoyed me quite a lot in the end when after lying to Tyler for weeks she was hoityp-toity about him leaving to think things through for a few hours. Like girl, he just found a woman he was looking for since his accident and he found out he was going to be a father. Get off your high horse.

I'm not really interested in the whole Colton thing. But the story was cute without the danger. I really liked the characters.
