This is a very simple early reader book telling the tale of Emma's desire to reach the oak tree in her garden. The tale takes us through the year with her trying various ways to be talk enough to reach the first branch. In winter she even gives up as she knows she cannot do it. However Spring comes around again and she is determined to do it so brings all sorts of tools to use only to find that now she is tall enough to do it by herself.
Fun, gentle, great use of basic words and a good moral tale.
