This Denver history book reads like butter. The writing style and mood reflect the exclamation point at the end of the title. Thanks for the loan, Dad! Apparently it has been out of print for a minute but WorldCat is awesome. I won't say anything ridiculous like it's the most accurate or comprehensive portrayal of everybody who has been living here but it is a FUN read.

“Pat Faulkner Snoberger, former secretary at Wayne Welch Advertising Agency, always felt the confusion of Colorado seasons was beyond analysis. She once made the telling observation that “Denver weather is so mixed up, my cat stores away acorns” (84).

This was a fun rad. Fun to read about some of the history that was happening when I was young and run to read older history knowing the setting because I grew up here.

Awesomely readable loan from my Dad who grew up in Denver. It is so out of print as many things I particularly like are, but WorldCat is your friend. The mood of the book reflects the exclamation point at the end of the title. I wish people could still write like that.
