Kohinata Minoru is a college student at a college that is popular for its sports rather than academic orientation. Although he starts out as a gymnast alongside his friend, Nana, Minoru is bullied by the higher ranked gymnasts. One evening, a karate student at the college, Mutou Ryuuji, witnesses Minoru being bullied and comes to the rescue... but his intentions aren't to save Minoru, but to drag him into the world of karate.
Good Start indeed. I somehow remember History's Strongest Disciple Kenichii. There is fun, there is action, there is drama, and love. All the common formula are there, and that makes it as much enjoyable as the other in this genre.
A Japanese manga about a boy who is kicked out of the high school gymnastic team, and recruited by one of the karate teams on campus. He learns how to defend himself with karate, and uses the dedication and flexibility he had as a gymnast to develop his skills in karate. This is his story about overcoming odds, making friends, and learning how to push himself past expectations. I enjoy the stories that this book has, and the action it depicts for the readers. I would suggest it for anyone who is looking for a fun time, and an interesting storyline. Especially if you are interested in martial arts.
Boh. Questo manga mi ispirava visto che tratta di Karate, che io pratico da anni, ma mi è sembrato veramente superficiale e lontano anni luce dalle vere arti marziali. Forse avrei dovuto leggere qualche recensione, prima di iniziare la lettura.
