After reading this along with the Old Testament (the FIRST time I've ever read the WHOLE OT!), it doesn't feel as remote, ancient, or irrelevant anymore. Despite the many typos (oh they bug me - I know, it's petty, but they still do...), I enjoyed the insights and (hello!) the abundance of information given.

Reading the Old Testament was a pretty hefty undertaking, but using this as a study guide made it understandable and powerful. It does not cover the entire Old Testament and skips a lot, but for a first plunge into the Old Testament it was perfect for what I used it for.
