Rate this book
The third edition of this comprehensive textbook covers the entire subject of neurophisiology, from membrane channels and the conduction of nerve impulses to the higher psychological functions of the brain. Throughout the text, emphasis is placed on function as well as on the cellular
mechanisms of individual neurons. Using this approach the author gives us an understanding of the complex systems that make up the brain and their interactions.
This throroughly revised and updated edition features extended use of supplementary notes and increased coverage of aspects of molecular and celluar neurobiology relevant to the subject matter. A major innovation is the inclusion of a complimentary NeuroLab for Windows disc that can be used to try
out the experiments and demonstrations in the book through interactive exercises. Neurophysiology is essential reading for pre-clinical medical students and students of physiology, zoology, neuroscience, neurology, and psychiatry.

A GREAT introduction to neuropsychology and neuroscience in general. Very in-depth analysis of the physiological level of brain processing. Too bad it doesn't include a neuroendocrinology section.
