This is Mulla 'Ali al-Qari's (d. 1014 h)commentary on Imam A'zam Abu Hanifa's (d. 150 h) short work on Islamic Doctrine ('aqida).
Imam Abu Hanifa, widely known as Imam A'zam (the greatest imam), is one of the most brilliant scholars of Islam, after the time of the Blessed Prophet (Eternal peace and blessings be upon him) and his companions. His authority is beyond doubt and as he was a true master of both jurisprudence (fiqh) as well as doctrine ('aqida) this work is of immense importance.
Though some people (Orientalists) have claimed that the attribution of this work to Imam Abu Hanifa is weak, Mulla 'Ali al-Qari established a reliable chain of narration (isnad) back to the Imam. Other scholars have mentioned other reliable chains of narration as well.
In short, this work is one of the earliest and most authoritative works on doctrine ever written.
This is truly a magnificent masterpiece, very eloquent and precise in its wording and covers all the main topics of Islamic doctrine. The benefit of this work is beyond description.
